Ugh I want Bi Bim Bap so badly. (dol sot is even better!)
The first time I had it was in a little place in Flushing (Queens NY) outside of Chinese school. My sister took me as she'd been eating more adventurously than I and it was tear jerkingly, face burningly DELICIOUS. Since then I've had painful relations with flavor versus pain and then of course the mad dash to the toilet 6hrs or so later. If you wanted to cleanse the colon and burn your bum at the same time, by all means very spicy kim chi and all that is what those dreams are made of.
I digress. The mixture of textures, the kind of raw yolk over crunchy who knows what and leaft veggies and the shredded meat and ugh the spicy sauce and you mix it all together and it's wondrous.
