(i plan to publish this and i put the repeat for the sake of those who are skipping around)

It was Friday, January 8, 2010. A young 15 year old boy was walking down a snowy road. He was about 5'7", he was average weight for 2008 but now he was considered thin since the average weight went up by 2 pounds in those two years. He had green eyes outlined by blue rims. His pupils were like vertical ovals most of the time. The only time they were round was in the dark. His nose was about average size. At first glance his mouth was perfectly normal but if he smiled one would see that his cannines were longger and sharper than most peoples but not vampire like.
None of this was what made him odd. The more noticable of the two things that made him odd were his ears. First of all they werent at the sides of his head like most people's they were at the top. What was even more suprising was the fact that they werent even human ears, but large cat ears instead. Unlike his dark brown hair his ears were a light brown with three darker horizontal stipes on each ear. His other suprising feature was the tail that matched his ears.
He had had a bad day at school which was why he wasnt riding the bus. He had decided to show his demon blood that day for he was a half demon. After seeing his ears and tail his bus driver had refused to drive him home, even though he no longer had a coat. His left eye was black and his right ear was torn and bleeding. Along with all that his left leg was broken. He looked up and saw that he was almost home. He walked up the driveway.
He opened the door to be greated by his little sister jumping on him. He felt the the pressure in his leg like nothing he had felt before and screamed, "Rae!" and he fell over backwards. Rae was 8 years old since saturday the second. She was about 4'3". She was average weight for a girl her age though in a few years most girls would think she was fat. She had blue eyes except for a green rim around her pupils which were like her brothers. The bridge of her nose was straight. Her teeth were like Her brothers as well. Her ears were the reverse of her brother's in color along with her tail. Her hair was brenett and only went to her shoulders.
Rae noticed her brothers ear and eye. "Roy? What happened?" asked concerned. Roy noticed his leg was now crooked, and straightened it out before replying. "I decided to show my demon heritage today"
"What's heritage mean?"
"Well its like ancestory or your family tree""
"Oh... Well daddy warned you not to wait on that." Rae said like it was common sense and Roy had just been an imbossil which was true.
"Yeah Well i did. Hey where's mom?"
"She went shopping. Maby you should call her."
"Well my cell phones broken and i dont no her number."
"Lucky for you I do so go get the phone and ill tell you. Roy got up and picked up the house phone. "okay it's (76 cool -101-8080." Roy dialed the numbers as she said them and waited for his mom to pick up. "Rae"
"No, it's me, Roy."
"Why arent you calling from your cell phone and why did it take you so long to get home?"
"My phones broken and i wasn't aloud to ride the bus"
"You weren't aloud to ride the bus? Why not?"
"I showed my demon heritage today and i didnt go so well and no I have a broken leg among other things. O and I need a new jacket too."
"Well im on my way home I'll get you a jacket and new cell phone on the way back from the hospital."
"thanks see you in a bit."
"you too honey bye" Roy hung up the phone and took a seat on the couch. He grabbed the remote and turned on the t.v. which was set to the new and it was around the area of his girlfriend so he didnt change it like he normally would. "today in battle to keep the country togethor the demon supports have recaptured three of the cities in florida shortly after they seperated to join south usa. there was a large loss for the the United States. please reconize a moment of silence for all but the following. Anna Raehorn,..." Roy breathed a sigh of relief as he heard the name of his girlfriend.
She had been drated towards the start of the new civil war which had accured because of a peace treaty that had been sighned during the demons war. "Stay tuned to see which drafties will be returning home." It cut to commercials. A short while later Roy's mom walked through the door.
She was 5'5". She had brown eyes and an average nose simular to Roy's. She was human with slightly smaller than average ears. She was 35, and about 130 pounds. "Roy it's time to go."
"Just a second." The news came back on. The reportor listed the names of the people returning home. Anna's name wasnt among them. "We can go now." Roy turned off the T.V and got in the car.
It was one of the few hydrogen cars on the road. Roy's father took a job in the government after the Demons War as a peace holder among the few good demons and the United States. As a result Roy's family had a large amount of money even if they didnt show it. Rae got into the back.
It was an hour's drive to the hospital. They check in and had to wait another half hour to get Roy's leg X-rayed. They doctor cam back and said "You did quite a numer on your leg. You'll need a cast for four weeks."
"That's it? Just four?"
"well if you were human it would be eight."
"How long would have said if i was a full demon."
"I would say ur a wimp."
"Really?"
"Well not so bluntly i have a will to live."
The doctor took link to the next room to get his leg casted. while he was casting Roy's leg "I noticed u werent limping."
"well i doesnt hurt that much really"
"Your father would have to be pritty strong for a break like that not to bother you"
"he is."
The doctor finished casting Roy's leg asked "do you want colored tape around the outside?"
"no thanks its fine white."
"well then take these and ill be seeing ya" the doctor handed roy a pair of crutches. "and stay off your leg"
"ill try"
"ull need to come again in three weeks to confirm that u can take ur cast of on time."
"thanks." Roy took the crutches and checked out

The weekend passed without much event. Rae had signed Roy's cast. Roy dreaded waking up on monday.

Roy's ear and eye were fine now but he could take back wat he had done. He walked out to the bus stop thankful that the person waiting there was his friend and that he was the only other person. "Hey Roy what happend to your leg?"
Roy's friend was 5'8" with brown hair and sky blue eyes. He was slightly overweight like every one else that Roy knew these days, as far as guys went. His nose was larger than aveage but not by much. His ears on the other hand were average size.
"I got beet up by all my classes one after the other."
"It could have been worse"
"It was I had to walk home"
