Okay, so far i have already gone further with this whole telling you guys everything than i had thought i would... really i think i got the worst out of the way first... So theres no real point in stopping now despite my reluctance to go on... anyway without further ado:
When i turned 5 we moved from our downtown condo to my house now. Here i met my first true friends, Jamie and Derek. Two grandchildren of the extremely christian old couple that live across the street from me. It was the first time i had actual friends people who liked me for me and weren't scared off by my admittedly overbearing personality. We hung out all the time. After school, on weekends, anytime and every time. We were inseperable. And it was a given that my first crush and later the first guy i ever fell in love with was the younger of the two, the one my age, Derek. Nothing aside from a few childhood adventures, one of which was me telling his big sister that i liked him, happened more until i was seven.
Seven was a big BIG year for me. In more ways than one... In may, shortly after my february birthday, my Nono, my dad's dad, passed away via a heart attack. Now, my nono and i had never exactly been close But he was always there, this omnipotent,omniscient, untouchable figure in the background of my life. The one who's opinons and actions affected my dad's behavior more than anyone elses, and if i'm anything at all label wise a daddy's girl has always been it. I didn't feel his passing the way i would feel later deaths because of that distance between us. My dad however was thrust into a deep depression that has lasted all of 9 years. Affecting his already unstable mental condition. Yay. Also in these dark, depressing times, enter once again stage left, Mason.
Pokemon. The evil little card game that let dorky kids of all ages bond together through tiny made up characters and their fighting pets. I was obsessed, but at least i wasn't the only one. Derek and I would spend hours comparing our new cards, discussing the new episodes on T.V. etc. And of course the two older kids at the end of the street Randy and Kenny, i believe their names were, would constantly bring their annoying friend, who i vaguely recognized, around to trade cards with us. Being older and presumaby smarter, although i always did wonder about their friend, they tended to get better deals out of the trades than we did. I was aware of this at the time but really didn't care because i usually ended up getting the cards i wanted, the "pretty" ones, and let them have all of the icky boyish cards that were admittedly stronger and more valuable. Once again i later recognized this boy as mason. How he always managed to leave such a big impression on my life is beyond me.
During this same time period i also developed a nasty little habit, i became a chronic lier. I would lie about anything. Just give me the opportunity and i could spin a tale so wild and out there that it would make your head spin. Don't get me wrong though, i'm not proud of that. It was soon beat out of me by my parents and i have never lied since (unless "yes mom my homework is done: when it isn't counts) It also developed a distaste for lies and a nifty little sixth sense ability to detect them in the process. And yes, mason, that particular alarm goes off so often in your presence that it isn't even funny. But oh well, i've lived in the dark before...
Finally in this oh-so-eventful seventh year of life i got what is technically TECHNICALLY my first kiss, although i have NEVER counted it as such. Yes it was from Derek, and yes this is about the time i fell in love with him. They say you will find 3 true loves in your entire life. The one you will always love but can never have the one that you will be happy with for the rest of your life and the one that you will never have the opportunity to be with but will always wonder what it would have been like if you had made a different decision. I was only seven and already i had found the first one of that tryiad of terror. Now however i'm pretty positive i have found my second and i am deliriously happy about who it is! ^_^
Now i know thats probably not as much as i posted last time and i'm sorry... i'm sick and don't feel like typing for much longer... so hoping this quenches your thirst for knowladge about me for the time being... i will update later...
