trees lurched forward,
creating shadows of demons that were scary.
Clouds moved onward,
covering up the full moon,
wolves cried and howled,
but it changed all too soon.
In the dark forest something growled.
On this fateful day,
a child lost her way.
Fog settled in around her,
making a vision a blur.
Whoooo,Whooooo,
in the wind it whispered quietly,
the dreadful spirits grew,
her heart beat dramatically.
Clash!
Limbs bashed against each other,
sending her into a dash,
her mind holding hope to find her mother.
Soon she started to fill with worry and doubt,
she paid no attention to the tree roots sticking out,
and as she crept up the hill,
the tree grabbed her and made her take a spill.
Tears came down her face,
she knew she was forever lost here,
in this dark place,
where her heart wreaked with fear.
Light shined down,
but it was not to comfort her,
it was to show her what lurked around.

New fear surfaced from beneath,
as she saw the creatures gruesome teeth.
