I am all too nice a person... Its been decided: I need to toughen up, buy a pair of guts, and lose my penchant for caring about people who aren't worth caring about... In other words? I need to tell sherrie just what i think of her, meanly.
Now i know my last post was something along the lines of 'Yippee i quit my job!" But i technically didn't quit until next sunday. Because things were tight and she needed the help for the week, my soft side gave in and told her that i'd help her out and finish out the week. How stupid of me that was. The past two days i have worked at least 5 and a half hour shifts with sherrie popping in ever so often just to b***h at me because she is upset that i'm quitting, but today she crossed the line between mildly annoying and b***h from hell that needs to die....in my eyes anyway.
I asked her yesterday, YESTERDAY, if she was going to be working with me today. I was schedualed for 6-closing. She said yes, she was planning on coming by to help me at about 7 after she had taken her husband out for dinner. I said okay, thinking that despite how much i despise working with sherrie, it would be nice to have some help with customers so i could keep up with every thing else in order to get closing done quickly.
She didn't show up until five minutes to 11. Which is when the shop closes.
So i had been working with a steady stream of customers for five hours straight not able to take either of the two fifteen minute breaks that i was supposed to have because i was working alone. And she shows up, and the first words out of her mouth are to criticize me on how i've been scraping tubs... I was gracious through her entire tirade about how she had supposedly yelled at me about my tub scraping techniques several times before, when she hadn't and had actually assigned me to scraping tubs several times before because i did the best job and was the most efficient at it out of the people who were there. And then she started in on me because someone had ordered a cake to be ready tomorrow and i hadn't called and told her this... LIKE I HAD TIME TO MAKE A PHONE CALL!!! I was freakin busy ALL EVENING LONG! and NOBODY told me that it was necessary to call her in that case!!! So then we've got about 3 minutes before we can lock the doors and start on cleanup so she tells me that i can start going down the closing list... One of the first few things to do that i hadn't already done was to turn off the machines... So i go to do that and she jumps my a** about not turning off the machines early when we've only got THREE FREAKING MINUTES till we lock the doors! It was all i could do not to scream:
"******** IT! I'M DONE!! DONT EXPECT ME BACK FRIDAY OR EVER AGAIN YOU PSYCHOTIC b***h!" and then chuck my apron and an ice cream scoop at the back of her head...
But i didn't...
Cuz i'm too nice a person...
And possibly too big of a pushover as well...
So instead i spent the last half an hour listening to her rant about how difficult her life is, something i only put up with and am okay with from Mason and occasionally Kat, until 11:25 when she finally let me escape and i was so pissed i couldn't see straight...
