Broken Glass
They say that eyes are the window to the soul.
But what do you see in me?
Do my eyes show my soul?
Tattered and torn,
Years of wear.
Do my eyes show you all of that?
So many years,
Too many to remember.
And yours?
Do your eyes show your soul?
How am I to know
What mine show,
When the chains are broken.
Will you see the beast?
Or shall it be what you believe?
Dare I open my eyes to my soul,
Unguarded, unprotected?
Most people look without seeing,
Not ever truly knowing those they see.
Can you see me,
Despite the shutters?
Do you know what I've seen?
Unguarded eyes are pristine windows
Set in ruins,
Asking to be broken.
Unguarded eyes reveal my soul.
Can I trust you to keep it?
To not break the glass?
To not throw the stone?
I'll look at you.
Unguarded, unsure.
Trusting you won't break me.

"And for all your worth...
Wake them up.
Show them the world
And let them sleep.
Sleep and remember the world.
A world as it should be,
Away from the chaos surrounding the birth."
~A wolf speaks it's name~
"Love me for me."
Wake them up.
Show them the world
And let them sleep.
Sleep and remember the world.
A world as it should be,
Away from the chaos surrounding the birth."
~A wolf speaks it's name~
"Love me for me."
