Whew! sweatdrop December has been a whirlwind month for me.
First, I finally got some pottery done and in the vendors' shop where I sell it. Now... *crossing fingers*... I'll get to work on some more pieces. My aunt has placed an order for a couple of bowls which she plans to give as gifts to her friends in Bali. Omigosh! I'll be an international potter. rofl Yeah, I wish. But it's a meager start.
Second, the school has tried to keep me busy with sub-teaching assignments. Also, basketball season started, which means I'm manning the score table again, running the clock and overseeing the scorekeepers. I really like this particular job. It gives me a chance to know the students better and work with lots of different people. Plus, I get paid to have fun. xd
Third, and ouch! stressed I had to have an upper molar pulled because it developed a crack in one of the roots going almost to the jaw. How the heck it happened is beyond me. I never chew ice and don't remember biting into something hard. This was a molar which I had a root canal done wayyyy back in college. That was some ... years ago (hint: I have two sons who will graduating from college this May; that should give you an idea how long ago this root canal was done). The dentist said that this sort of thing happens to root canal molars eventually but added she expected it to happen long before now. I've got a flipper now (a prosthetic tooth on a semi-partial plate). I wear it at home as it causes me to lisp at times. In March, I'll be getting an implant done to replace the tooth.
Fourth, I've re-opened my thread on the Game Item Exchange. Hooray! With the help of many friends and traders, as well as selling event items and extra letters in my inventory, I rebuilt my bank. It's great to be back trading and chatting with the many, many friends I've made on the GIE.
And last but certainly not least, I celebrated a terrific Christmas with my hubby and boys. heart We exchanged gifts, ate a nice dinner (I served grilled cornish hens), and had fun watching our dogs and cat playing with the wrapping paper and ribbons. Ginger especially liked the ornaments on the Christmas tree. I had the foresight to get bright, shiny plastic ones this year... in other words, I "Tiny Terror"-proofed the tree! blaugh
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and will have a safe and Happy New Year! cool
