Once upon a time...
There was a beautiful princess
There was a handsome slave
The princess held this man captive
And he remained constrained by the woman
She often spoke words of love to the slave
And the slave had no choice but to love back
She pretended to be happy with this love that was a lie
His emotions had been killed by being lied to for so long
Bound by love in an everlasting darkness
And bound by chains in cheerless oppression
Who was the one who was truly repressed?
There was a knight. Brave. Strong.
But most of all, loving
He had loved the princess truly. Yet
He knew that the princess could never love back
He could never admit his love to a woman who loves another!
So he took his faithful emotions far away to find requiem.
But he found no peace.
No peace but in. Death.
A servant told the princess
That her faithful Knight was found
A sword thrust into his chest.
Tears swelled in her eyes and
She turned to her slave for comfort.
"Smile for me, my love. Help me through."
The slave stared at her with his blank, heartless eyes
"How?" he'd whisper softly, for he knew not.
The Princess smiled softly, tears in her eyes.
His love was false.
This had hit her with a ripping pain
Hadn't she known that all along?
So why did she let her heart be broken?
Her heart would tear more in agony of lies
But she loved to lie down in his arms.
She knew it was all a falsehood
But she wouldn’t let go.
She couldn't let go.
And they all lived...
Happily ever after?
