i walk alone through an infinity of darkness
casting my content glances to the moon
its frosty complexsion cooling me
i continue on through the starless night

i dance on silent wings
to the lullaby of the witching hour
the breath of the dark air chilling my skin
bringing with it the aroma of lavender

silken dreams draw me further in
the black ink of the shadows encircling me
the hands jof the twilight stroking me like velvet feathers
i drift on the hushed current of the moon's ivory rays

murmured words flutter around me
consoling every uncertainty dwelling within
revealing my deep affinity with the night
as i tread in step with the specters of the shade

i turn back towards the silhouette of the moon
and feel my lips smooth into a serene smile
the sense of unity with the dark envelopes my being
i am eternally the night
