Ambaru and Kura-chan both braised themselves. Each one of them ready for the other's attack.
"Hehehe, ya sure you can beat me?" Kura-chan boasted.
"Feh, your no match, Cake." I challenged.
As I let my naginata touch the ground and slide slowly forward, Kura-chan darted towards me. I picked up my blade and dashed to meet her katana. Our weapons clanked and sparked as they collided. We both stared at each other with the determination to win.
I pulled away and began my next attack. I used my blade to boost me into the air as she came at me once more. Putting all my strength into it, I let it fall apon her.
"Aaaarrrhh!" she shouted as she knocked away the blow. "that the best ya got?! Lightning Kick!"
Before I knew it, Kurasaki had dealt a powerful attack to my stomach.
"Urrrggh!!" I screamed as I hit the ground. "Oh yeah? Well try this!"
I take a deep breath and perform a teknique I learned from Kitsune-sama.
"Dragon's Tailwhip!" I yelled as I dashed to Kura-chan. I lifted my blade once more and brought it down at incredible speed. She knocked it away again, but this time I pulled the naginata sideways for a counter attack.
"Ha ha!" I laughed as it was about to come apon her side.
"Hehehehe...." Kura-chan snickered as she dodged my attack and then pinned me to the ground with her counter, Neko's Ball. "I win this time, Ambaru-chan!"
"Hmph....just by luck...." I puffed.
"Hahahaha, don't be jealous 'cuz i whooped yer a** when we was kids, too." Kurasaki giggled.
"Nyaaah!" I stuck my tongue out at her as I escaped her grasp and ran towards the shack. "Last one there is a Saurian turd!!!"
"Hey!! Thats cheating!!" Kurasaki whinned.
Later that afternoon.......
When we had arrived at the shack, Uzumi-sama wasn't there. He didn't even leave a note. Tensu walks towards me and explains.
"He left after we heard a mysterious howl from the south. He left without a word as soon as it finished." Tensu explained.
I was dis-heartened, "Oh....I see...." I then sat down in a niche beside the sliding door. I wanted you to be here, I thought. Please...come back soon. Kurasaki saw my sad expression and sat beside me.
"Don't trip, chocolate chip. He'll be back, you'll see." Kura-chan tried to cheer me up.
"Thanks, Kura....you always make me feel better....Its just---" I stopped In mid-sentence. I heard a boom nearby.
"What was that?!" Kura-chan shouted.
"Something is heading towards us at incredible speed!" Tensu warned.
We all braised ourselves for the presence closing in on the shack. As it got closer I could feel its evil intent....and it was the one thing I feared......Maryokootai!
"Aaaaiiiiiie!!!" I cried out as I backed away from the door.
Maryokootai burst through and looked right at me...all I could think was, Don't look at me, Please Uzumi-sama.....help me!!
Tensu grabbed the dragon by the arm and swung him away. Kurasaki wanted to help, but she knew she was no match for the very dragon that defeated Felicia, the 49th Sapphire Dragon Goddess.
"RUN!! NOW!! PLEASE PROTECT AMBARU-SAMA!!" Tensu pleaded.
"Alright!" Kura-chan replied as she escaped with me into the forest. We disappeared from view and hid in a deep forest brush.
"Please....forgive me....I'm..I'm not strong at all....I'm just a frightened childish demon....not worth the title of 'Goddess'....I'm just----*" Kura-chan slapped me across my face.
"DON'T YOU EVER DEGRADE YOURSELF!!! YOU ARE A WARRIOR!!" she scolded, "Don't ever think that yer not strong enough.....yer just not powerful enough to face him...and the death of yer oka-san still haunts you." Kura-chan then hugged me as I cry in her arms.
When we look up, we see Tensu coming towards us. He was heavily injured, but ok.
"Tensu!" I cry out as I run to his aid, "Are you alright?"
"Arrgh....I'll be fine." He moaned as he lay his head apon my leg, "Hes gone for now....I've done agood amount of damage to him...."
"Shh....rest, Tensu-sama..." I insist.
As me and Kura-chan clean his wounds, I think to myself....If only I had the strength to fight him......you wouldn't be hurt like this....
All I could repeat in my head was 'Forgive me, Forgive me'
That night.....
Uzumi finally returned, but he was shocked to see blood all over the field and us sitting on the ground where the shack used to be.
"What happened?!" he worried, "Tensu...he's..."
"We were attacked." Tensu answered, "It was...Maryokootai."
Uzumi-sama gasped and then looked at my forlorn expression. When he looked towards me I turned away....I didn't want him to see that I was crying.
"A-Ambaru.....are you---" I cut him off.
"We wouldn't have been in this situation if you had stayed!!!" I blamed, "Tensu wouldn't have to suffer like this if you were here to help!!!"
Uzumi remained silent then he let out a sad, "Gomenesai (I'm sorry)" He then continued, "I was summoned....."
I didn't reply to his excuse. I only showed distaste."Fine...just help us clean Tensu up."
"Alright." Uzumi-sama replied.
After Tensu had been taken care of, we all put our heads together and decided to go to Mt. Fuji.
"The hotspring there will do Tensu good." Kurasaki insisted.
"Very well then, to Mt. Fuji!" I pointed.
"Ok then." Uzumi-sama agreed.
This trip was going to be a long one.......
