Animal Testing
Is it worth it?

Testing, testing 1, 2, 3...
How many of you sit at home and apply some type of make up or perfume? Many of you just answer me, right? Well, what would you do if I told you hundreds of animals suffer and die because you want to look or smell nice? It's it really worth it?
"It is estimated that 50 to 100 million vertebrate animals worldwide — from zebrafish to non-human primates — are used annually. Although much larger numbers of invertebrates are used and the use of flies and worms as model organisms is very important, experiments on invertebrates are largely unregulated and not included in statistics."
If you think it's right, then let me take you on a trip. One morning you wake up, like every other morning. You go to wake up your mother or father, then someone comes in your house. A large man, he grabs you and drags you away, either forefully or not, and puts you in the back of a big van, with other little childern. Your scared and don't know anyone, you don't know whats going to happen. Soon after you arrive at a large building with men dressed like the other one. They forefully grab at you and smack you if you refuse. They take you to a backroom, filled of cages with other childeren in them. Many have stitches in various parts of their bodies, some are running in circles and banging on the walls, trying to find a place to escape. The large man shoves you into a fairly small cage, with a small dish of food and a bowl of water. You sit in the cold and darkened cave, listening to the screaming and pain going on in the room. You get a bad headach by the time the man comes to get you. Without knowing what will happen, he grabs you and puts you into a large laundry basket, rolling you and others down the hall way. The walls are too big for you to jump so you try and looked out to watch where your moving. The man grabs the back of your neck and yangs you out of the basket, dragging you into the next room where you see large men and women with masks. They tie you down roughly on a table in an eagle spread position. The put a long tube far up your nose, no matter how many times you scream 'stop' they keep moving the tube in further. Once the tube is in far enough they inject you with a chemical. After all that they watch your behave the next few days, then they take you and take the top of your skull clean off. They shove a chip into your brain, you scream and try telling them to stop, but they don't seem to understand you. Once the chips in your feelings are gone. You stand there with a blank stare on your face. They stitch your head back on.
Many years later, you find out it was all for a $10 perfume for men that you had to endure that pain and misery. Now tell me, how would you feel?
Animal Testing is Wrong
Because animals live and breaths just like we do, they suffer from pain and hunger just like us. But does that mean we should use them to test them and beat them until they seriously hurt, or parish? It was wrong to test Orphans, Blacks, G.I.'s, and Gypsies, so why is it right to test on innocent creatures?
Not all testing is harmful, some are watching where a rat goes in a maze, or if he can find the cheese. But after a long day of finding the cheese, they crame you into a small cage, with you, food and water, and hundreds of whining and dying animals. They make you walk the same maze over and over again the next day, but with a spliting headach. We all get bad headachs and sometimes don't go to school because of it, but the animals that are tested upon never get a day off.
Do we all really need another hairspray or nail polish? No. There are many animals, usually bunnies, monkies, rats, cats, and dogs that get tested on burtly because you want your hair to be in tact and destroy the ozone. Some people buy a bottle of perfume or hairspray to use on time. That hairspray you just purchased for $5 so your hair could be nice for one night out, took the pain, suffering, and loneliness of hundereds of animals. And the times you have headachs you reach into the medince cabnet and grab headach medince, your read the back of the bottle to see about 2 pills for a certain time, you pop them in and swallow them without the thought of how many animals died and got tortured to find out how many pills to take per hour.
Animals bleed and feel pain just like us, but animals don't respone the same as we do, using chemicals in a cat or dog won't tell us anything from how it will act upon a human. Animals can't tell you how much it hurts, their screams and struggles are ignored, they bite at their own flash and bone to have a small chance in escaping. Animals sit in cold, lonely cages, with the abuse and cruelity running through their heads as they sit there, waiting for the day they will die and leave this god forsaken place of hatred and abuse.
