Why do girls seem to run from the guys that make them happy and fight for the ones that make them cry? I saw that on an icon and it got me thinking, do we? After a couple minutes I realized that, as a whole, yes. I know I do, at least, some of the time. So I tried to figure out why...but I don't know. It's one of the things that no matter how long I think about it I just can't seem to come up with an answer. I forgot about this fact entirely for a day or two, until I was listening to some songs on my mom's computer. I was listening to 'break apart her heart' by Good Charlotte and what got my attention was the chorus.
'There's something I don't want to understand The only way a woman's going to want a man The only way you'll ever keep her in your hands Is break it apart, her heart Don't tell her she's the reason that you live Don't give her everything that you've got to give If you want to keep the girl for as long as you live Just break it apart, her heart.'
I put the song on repeat, just so I could listen to what they were trying to say. I thought I was finally starting to understand what it was that drives girls to go after guys who make the cry. Some one told me that if we do something that we don't have a reason or explanation for then it's in our nature. Perhaps that's why girls like guys who break their hearts. It's in our nature....
