She started a sigh. RIGHT at the middle of it the universe started going in slow motion for Berry. All of it. Except that. It was too fast to even recognize a shape. And quite frankly, the shape didn't matter at all, in literally a second it was choking Nonno. Then the universe started going at its normal pace for Berry which was good, she could react to what was going on. Areme kept directing implosive spells at the thing, but they went straight through it and past Nonno by mere chance. Berry hit Areme's arm so he'd stop. then she stretched the fingers of her left hand, put them close together and hit the thing with the tip of her sharp nails, stopping just a couple of millimeters from Nono's throat. The thing exploded and splashed like a water balloon and started vanishing. Berry cough a little piece of it (and it was weird, it looked as if Berry was holding water on her hand) and she pulled it close to her belly, then pushed it to the ground. The "water" disappeared, but soon after, from a nearby tree, a creature fell. It was fat and round, with toad like skin, just ruby red, bald, and honestly speaking, really ugly. And dumb looking.
Nono, who was by now partially recovered from the fright and lack of air (and if you can keep a secret, let me tell you, his pride was scratched too) jumped infron of the creature, smiling wickedly, took out his old worn out wand, and pointed it at the creature. A sparkly gray ray came out of it and landed on the creature's forehead. The creature's face lost all expression. It was like a ragdoll. Nonno twisted and flickered his wand and the creature adopted unnatural postures, offering a both grotesque and comical entertainment. Nonno's face was glowing with satisfaction.
Berry hit the back of Nonno's head -Have you no mercy with this thing?- She said while knocking the creature's head. - Do it already, please?
-Ah... sure. - Nonno's face became his normal "I'm bored, deal with it". He flickered his wand drawing strange symbols in the air, then the creature floated a couple of feet above the ground and landed with a sound that reminded Berry of a sack of potatoes falling to the ground. The creature was unconscious and drooling on the ground. Nonno was breathing heavily.
-So?
Nonno was pale and very serious.
-SO?
Then Nonno said it. Areme lost his balance for a little while. Berry's face was a mix of anger, angst, concern and fright. She fell to the ground landing on her buttocks. Nonno's words were:
-Chaos Unleashing has just begun.
