There's a person you see every day but will never meet. You will see that person for the rest of your life... you two will grow old together... and when everyone else seems to have abandoned you that person will be with you. But you will never exchange greetings with that person or feel the touch of their hands or hear their voice. That person is the you that you see in the mirror.

There is a scientific explanation for why we see ourselves in mirrors. It's even relatively simple. It is also the truth. But, just because there is already one proven truth about a thing doesn't mean there can't be an unprovable truth as well. Also, what is true for one person will not necessarily be true for all the others. Take the existence of God... There are many people who believe in God and many who don't. For the people who believe God really does exist ~ that is their truth and it is true for them. For the rest ~ God does not exist and that is also the truth and it is their truth. The two opposite truths exist simultaneously but neither is right or wrong because of the other.

What if, that person in the mirror and you live different lives when not in front of a reflective surface? How is that possible? Well... it's like meeting someone by chance many many times in the real world you are living in right now. That person would be like your reflection... you just happen to be in the same place at the same time. The you in the mirror could be living an entirely different life when you two aren't looking through at each other. You'd never know.

What if the you in the mirror is another version of you but still the same person. You are separate entities, yet, you are also one being. Maybe, when you die, the two of you will merge into one slightly more perfect being... the lessons learned in two lifetimes will be made into many lessons learned in one. Maybe you'll both fall through the space between worlds and start over in a new yet same world. Will this continue until you become a "perfect being"? Can one achieve such a thing?

I'd like to know how I end. And all the ends in my life. The important ones anyway. What will become of us? What will become of me? What will become of the people I care for? How does it all end? I'd like to know these things... If I knew the end but not the means then life would still be worth living.... maybe... I'd be sad to know only ends. Honestly, I don't really care how I die. But I want to know other things... the end of relationships... the end of other existences close to mine. People won't miss me for long after I'm gone. I don't want to become famous and, in at the most 10 years, no one will care that I've lived or that I've died. But that's okay. People should move on... move forward. You have one life to live.. don't spend it grieving over someone else's.
