CONVERSBOY: really? I love fish sticks!
I glanced over my shoulder meeting Joe’s look.
“What?” I asked innocently.
“Oh nothing” I shrugged going back to asking Anna questions. “ but that you’ve been talking to the same girl for 2 weeks” he said a smirk playing on his lips.
“so” I said trying to fight a smile.
“Does she know?” his face got all serious. Gosh I hated when he did that.
“Know what?” I asked playing dumb.
“Nick!” Joe said a bit angry.
“no” I said sharply turning to glare at him.” why does she have to know? Hmm things are good. If she found out she could be another Sasha all over again. I like being James.”
“James?” he rolled his eyes. “ dude you had any name to pick and you picked James? Why not Joe?”
“shut up go and ‘save’ someone else life” I turned back to the computer.
CONVERSBOY: favorite color?
MUSICGIRL22: aqua
CONVERSBOY: isn’t that like blue?
MUSICGIRL22: no its totally different
CONVERSBOY: aqua is just another type of blue
MUSICGIRL22: but its not exactly blue
“DUDE!” I jumped.
“sheesh Joe what was that for.?” I glanced to my right where Joe was sitting to find it empty.
“I’m behind you” I turned a bit to see him
“what are you doing?”
“reading you chat” he said matter-of-factly.
“ well DON’T!”
“why not? I am you brother and it was my idea.”
“Kevin said it was his” Joe glared.
“That liar” he walked out of my room in the direction of the phone.

I smiled at the wall. I was having a relationship with out seeing the girl I’m happy with out being in love. I have the ultimate power to just leave if I felt like it. I liked it……

I laughed as I read the last thing he wrote.

I pondered the thought thinking back at my 22 years.

I scrunched my nose laughing. I walked to the frig while waiting for him to think of the next question to ask. I smiled as I counted the days on the calendar. 14 days, two weeks we’ve been talking. I grabbed a Pepsi and turned back to the computer.
CONVERSBOY: favorite color?

I laughed at our childish fight.
“ well someone is cheerful today” I jumped not expecting anyone.
“JENNY?” I yelled. Running to meet my older sister.
“ the one and only !” she smiled then I noticed something.
“O MY GOSH!”I almost passed out. “he asked you?” I was referring to the ring on her finger. She blushed scarlet.
“yes” she replied sheepishly. “wait what were you smiling about when I first walked in and where’s my niece?” I watched the pain cross her features as she mentioned Annabelle .
“nothing and she’s at Tally’s “ I saw the skepticism in her eyes. “well lets get you settled in” I rushed on quickly.
“I know the room” she gave me one more suspicious glance and walked away towards the guest bedroom. I slumped into the seat I was accompanying before. I looked at the screen ready to answer any question he had sent but it was blank there wasn’t a new message.
MUSICGIRL22: are you there?
I waited a while tapping my fingers on the table. I listened for jenny incase I had to hide my conversation. She was, no is VERY protective of me since…. Annabelle. She never let me look twice at a guy or et them even look once.
CONVERSBOY: I’m here
I felt the corners of my lips pull up. Hmmm maybe I could be happy.
