6,596/25k Word Count Its come to my attention that I won't be able to finish this story by the end of the month. So insted I plan to reach 25k by the 30th, then finish the rest in December.
Venison Sixteen solders, lead by captain of the guard Gale Baldric, made up the escort group that was taking prince Lorne II and his younger brother, Prince Aaron, into Black Leaf forest for a week of hunting the biggest bucks within a hundred miles of the kingdom of Gelvum. Although some would say they were the biggest bucks in all of England! These deer were rumored to have an antler span wider than a grown man could stretch both his arms. Their hoof prints, they said, were large enough to drink water from. A man could build a small cottage from the bones of just half a dozen of the beasts. They were giants, monsters, and to have one mounted on your wall was the highest honor any man, whether duke, lord, earl, king, or the poorest of peasants, could hope to achieve.
This is were I'll be posting updates and stuff on my NaNo WriMo project, and use whenever I want to procrastinate.
The title of my NaNo is Venison. I'll type more later when I feel more like procrastinating. _______________________________ 11.15.05 1:15am Mood: stressed
Horray for royally ******** up the first draft. Heheh, royally! You'd laugh if there were a synopsas posted here. Looks like I'm starting over. I've got 333 words loged, or something like that, and once again am totally not sticking to my schedual due to the stress knot turning my neck into a pretzel. With any luck I'll have a mental episode and write ape s**t for fifty or so pages, which for the moment is the best I can hope for and the only way I'll catch up so--whee! whee
And did I mention first person is ******** hard? Yeah, it is. If you think it isn't than you're either a genius or an idiot.
Hey kids, its National Slam Your Head into a Rail Spike Month! _____________________________ 11.15.05 8:56pm Mood: pirate
Several major changes to the plot. I booted out one of the major charecters, snipped about 20 pages worth of plot and transplanted for a new beginning, and switched the narritive to third person (probably third person omisisent). All this was done because I finally realized the origional plot was too complicated and confusing, the story was loseing focus, and first person is just too damn hard.
Now... write like hell!

Dude! Diologue! gonk
In the last draft I attempted to write for this story I was having one hell of a time with diologue. Now, for whatever reason, its become a breeze. In fact I'm noticing just how much diologue can expand a page. I may only have 2.5k in words, but my NaNo has already hit five pages (12 font, default margins) thanks to just one scene of diologue.
PS - Five pages is a lot for me. The longest story I've ever written on the computer only went to 17 pages, and the longest compleate story I've ever finished only went to 11.
