The drive to Jack’s house was silent aside from the blaring radio and the soft tapping of Jacks finger against the steering wheel. Most of the sounds, however, were blocked out by Van’s ears as he thought over what had happened and about what would happen if his mother found out. He was so wrapped up in his thoughts that he didn’t notice when Jack pulled into a long driveway.
“Well, home sweet home I guess..” Jack stated monotonously. But he had noticed that Van was out of it again so he so he shook his shoulder roughly, causing Van to once again snap out of his daze.
“Huh? Oh..I’m sorry…I did it again.” He sighed deeply, he felt so bad about what he had done. Even though he did start it.
Jack rolled his eyes as he opened his door and stepped out onto the walk way.
“C’mon.” He turned and headed to the door of the tan colored house.
Van hurriedly opened the passenger door, moving quickly to catch up with Jack. By the time he’d gotten to the hunter green door Jack was already half way across the living room. Van lingered in the open door, admiring the beauty of the house. The couch and love seat were black with blood red pillows, the table and end tables were deep mahogany brown, the floors were wooden with a dark red carpet in the center. As he looked around the parts of the house he could see, this theme was in every room. Then an annoyed scoff from the other room broke his thoughts.
“Look, don’t stand in my door. If you want to go home, then walk. I don’t care.”
The harsh words caused Van to consider just going home, but he knew he couldn’t so he quietly closed the front door and stepped into the living room.
“Um…where is the--”
“Too the left, down the hall. The door’s open so you can’t miss it. There's washcloths in the cabinet.” Came Jack quick reply.
Van let out a sorrowful sigh as he walked down the hall to the bathroom. He thought he was annoying him with his presence, but he didn’t know the true reason why Jack acted so cold to him. The true reason, locked inside Jack’s mind, was that he had a nearly uncontrollable desire to feel that soft silver fur pressed against his heated body, to hear those sweet moans spill from the fox’s pierced lips, to give him such pleasure that he’d never want to leave him. But he could never tell him that, he could never tell anyone. That’s why he was so cold, perhaps he could push him away, make him leave his sight so these desires would die.
Jack was sitting at the kitchen table, holding his head in his hands, pulling at his hair, hoping that perhaps he could tear the very thought from his mind. Now he was so caught up in his thoughts that he didn’t hear Van slip into the far seat and he didn’t notice him until Van spoke up.
“T-thank you for letting me clean up…and…you have a very nice home…”
Jack moved his finger to gaze at the fox’s beautiful face, he knew exactly how he was looking at him. His eyes were filled with lust and desire. They were so strong now that he almost gave in but he decided against it and forced himself to speak.
“Yeah, thanks…” His words were dry and slightly hoarse, but he suspected that Van wouldn’t notice since his words were muffled anyway.
Van dropped his eyes, partly due to the fact that he thought he was annoying him and secondly because the wild look in the mancoon’s eyes scared him.
“I should go now…thanks. And I’m sorry.” Van stood from the seat and headed out of the kitchen but he paused when he Jack spoke.
“You didn’t do anything. I should be the one apologizing to you for what I did today…I’m sorry.”
Jacks kind, sincere words echoed inside Van’s ears. He had apologized to him. Something Jack never did to anyone…ever.
Van stuttered across his words. “You… you’re…sorry? N-no one’s ever apologized to me before…”
Jack stood form the table and turned to Van, gazing deep into his golden orbs.
“Maybe for once I’ve seen that I was wrong.”
He walked forward and brushed past the stunned fox. Their fur, for a split second, intertwined with one another’s. That simple friction causing those thoughts of lust to wash back over him like a flood of heat.
“M-maybe you should go home now. Your mother’s probably worried about you.”
Van was puzzled by the cat’s sudden, and frequent mood swings. But he took his advice about heading home.
“Yeah.. I’ll head home…I’ll see you tomorrow.” Van quickly rushed past Jack, closing the door behind him as he hurried down the sidewalk.
Jack help his head in his hands chuckling softly “Heh… at least now I can’t hurt him.”
