Part 4~
The guards stared at me, their guns pointed directly at me. Knuckles emited a low growl, and I guessed it was aimed more at me than them. He had probably assumed I would stay hidden in the crate. I applied more pressure to my bottom lip to prevent myself from shaking; Succeeding only a little bit in this. "Heheh..." The taller of the gaurds chuckled out. "What do we have here? Another one? How many of them do you think there are?" He was directing this to the other gaurd, who was shorter than the other only by about three inches. They both wore black, long sleeve shirts, black pants, black boots and both had brown hair; The shorter gaurd had brown eyes and the other had green. They both bore a flashlight in their belts, a case to hold their guns attached to it.
The shorter gaurd lowered his gun and took a step towards me. "Do the two of you know?" He asked Knuckles and I. I had decided not to answer, but Knuckles surely would. "Tch, as if I'd tell you!" He spat out angrily. His response made me glance down towards him. The red echidna was still on the floor, though he had sitten up. I realized for the first time there was an iron taste in my mouth, so I let up on biting my lip. The two gaurds, however, did not seemed too pleased by Knuckles reply. The shorter gaurd grabbed my arm forcefully, yanking me towards the door.
I struggled for a moment in an attempt to break free, before I stopped. There was a gun pointed to the back of my head. "Now now," He said. "we wouldn't want there to be a mess now, would we?" For the first time that day, I felt tears run down my face. The taller guard walked over and grabbed Knuckles, violently pulling the echidna to his feet. Knuckles knew they'd put a gun to his head as well, so he didn't struggle. He just closed his eyes and accepted it. We walked out of the room in silence, the only noise being our feet hitting the metalic ground, leaving Knuckles and I to wonder what would happen to us...
