Part 6-
"Kn-knuckles," I stuttered out, still running but strugling a little to keep up with him. "what will happen if...if they c-catch us?" I really didn't want to know the answer, but I needed to hear something other than our breathing and foot steps. He glanced back at me for a split second with a small sigh. "Don't worry Raine," Knuckles replied. "I promise they won't catch us." I nodded even though Knuckles couldn't see me anyways. We sharply turned down another blackend hallway, only to turn abruptly around again after a door opened right in front of us. "s**t!" I muttered, tripping over my feet as we turned and landing with a thud. I scrambled to get back up, but my franticness made me fall again. "Raine!" Knuckles called out, running back towards me.
He stopped dead in his tracks. I shuddered, looking upwards and behind me. A man stood above me, with two body guards next to him. They wore the same uniform as the gaurds we had encountered earlier, but not so with the man in the middle. He was taller, had dark gray hair and blue eyes. He wore a dark green coat with a black button up shirt underneath it. His pants were black as well, with black boots and a belt. "Who are you?" He demanded, one gaurd pointing his gun at Knuckles while the other was directed towards me. Unsure of how to reply, I remained silent. Knuckles did too, still not moving.
