Stan, an undercover op had his cover blown while trying to infiltrate an Iraq operation. Fleeing as fast as he could before he could be caught, he realized that it wasn't just himself that was in trouble. His 16 year old daughter Jamie, was taken from their home shortly after his cover was jeapordised. For four years, he struggled with hostage demands while his team worked on rescuing her. When Jamie was back on American soil, she was not the same fun loving daughter he had been living with. Her long hair was cropped short and she wouldn't speak. He had to either stay with her and lose his job or lose her while he worked. Because he couldn't afford to do either, he sent her to live with his sister until she felt better.

Jamie, back from four years of being one of those T.V. hostages, was really out of touch with everything. She fully understood what her father did for a living and she refused to give anything away that might have gotten around to hurt him. She also accepted when he sent her to live with Aunt Jo. What she didn't expect was a child hood reunion with Cliff. The evil little Neighbor boy who constantly drove her insane. But, the years had done him good. He wasn't that same brat anymore. He was kind and seemed to want to know what had happened to her. To bad she didn't trust him enough. Her child hood memories of him had taught her better than to trust his word.
