End of "Master's Coming"
"T… Theo?" My voice was soft, as if not to let my master hear. I knew he could anyways; we all could with our extra senses. Master took his attention off of me and turned to face Théoden. "Your sword, love," He told me while keeping his eyes on the man before him. Theo handed me said weapon, and I held her with care. She was breathtaking. My sword was named Ara, and on her hilt were amazing blue sapphires. On her sheath, my name was engraved. She was about five feet long, which was almost as tall as I was—the cool thing about her was if you weren't accepted by her or myself, you got electrocuted.
Obsessing over the sword I have been trying to find forever, I almost missed the small exchange between the two. "Théoden," Master called, and in return was his answer, "James," They nodded at each other, and I stood my ground. Not afraid in the least, Theo walked around him to place his arm around my waist. "It's been a while," He noted, and James nodded again, turning around to face both of us. "That it has," I clung to Theo as if for my life; my sword had been placed on my belt in its sheath before he even moved a step. "I see you've found her again," Theo told him, referring to me. "She wasn't that hard to find." My back tensed at that one. "Who was the bait this time?" Theo asked casually. "The rabbit, of course," He responded, just as nonchalant.
"Ah, the rabbit," Theo deducted as if he didn't know already. "The one she can't let go of," My eyes dropped to the floor. "You knew she'd believe her no matter what bull was thrown her way, didn't you? That she'd believe as long as it was the rabbit that said so?" Again, James nodded. "But of course," He replied, crossing his arms over his chest. "Well then," Theo concluded, his eyes turning hard. "Looks like we have a problem here, don't we?" James tilted his head to the side; the slightest movement by him made me tense even more. I let my eyes stare at him once again. "I can't let you keep messing with my love how you do," Theo stated confidently. "I'm going to have to kill you," I blinked, and looked at my boyfriend while shaking my head. I moved out of his embrace, and stepped to the side; not near either of them. "Theo, you can't," I told him, my voice sounding hoarse.
James looked at us with a smirk, and beckoned me to his side. Grudgingly, I complied, and Théoden's eyes held confusion. He knew the situation instantly. If he fought with James, he would make me fight against Theo. "You'll have to get through her to get to me, Théoden," James added. "And you and I both know you can't do that," All of us knew we'd never be able to fight against one another… And I would rather die than follow that order. My master looked at me as if hearing my thoughts. "Not unless I make the punishment worse than the order," My eyes fell to the ground for the second time as I bit my lip. "I'm sorry, babe," I told him softly. He looked almost hurt, but I knew he understood.
"You know, it's funny," James started, and Theo looked up again. "I figured she'd still be back in France when I was looking for her, but it looks like her 'new life' has dumped her all the way from Long Island, New York, to Orlando, Florida." Theo almost growled. He knew from way back in the day James had been a tracker, hence his finding of me wasn't hard at all to him. James turned to me, and his voice was filled with venom. "It also looks like your 'new life' is over, Celt," He grabbed my arm and my whole body tensed all over again; he started pulling me away. "Let's go," My eyes were filled with apologies as he dragged me and I blew a kiss at my love. James pulled me harder to make me face forward and growled in my ear, "No more distractions. Its time to come back to reality," Fiercely, he grabbed Ara from my belt—the shock from which didn't faze him at all—and we were out of Théoden's sight in mere seconds.
