A young girl with a pale complexion ran through the dimly lit streets, never looking back. No she wasn't running away from home, nor was she a vampire who loved to run at such a fast pace. No. She was running away from a terrifying beast that was on the move. It's a mystery on how she ran into this creature but right now the only thing that matters is getting away.
She was breathing hard and she felt like she couldn't go on. But she had to or else something horrible will happen. Stopping for a breath she took a deep breath in and then kept on running. Yet, something happened next. She was on the ground, her jeans torn open, with blood seeping out onto the ground. She gripped her leg in pain. She screamed out loud in pain and the terrible, bloodthirsty beast was in front of her.
Eyes fluttered open as morning sun made it's way in through her window. Nightmares. The worst dream you can have. Ever since she moved here, she's had this one. Repeating over and over every night. At first, she would wake up screaming her lung outs. The next night, she just breathed hard, and now, she doesn't care. It's only been a week since she moved into the small town and something weird is already happening.
The girl's name you ask? Well, I would say her name is of no importance but that would be a lie. Of course it is important to know the character's name and what you'll have to deal with for the rest of the story. You, this girl's name is Eve. Evanna Rain Bennett if you want to know her full name but her family calls her Eve. See, Eve has a mother but no father. he died in his sleep mysteriously one night and her mother completely closed up after that. They barely talk anymore and it's quiet in the house all the time. Well, except when this young girl is blasting her music and singing to all the songs that pop up on her computer.
Pulling the covers off of her lean body she sat up on her bed and rubbed her eyes. How she missed the rain. Yes, the rain. Eve loved the rain very much. Well, it's been hot all week but you can never predict the weather in Colorado. One day it may be burning hot and the next, frigid. If only it could be one of those raining days. Nope. It was the beginning of the school year which meant warm and sunny. Maybe partly cloudy.
Standing up she checked the clock. 6:30. Maybe she could take a quick shower, get dressed, and still make it in time for school. Grabbing a towel, she made her way over to the bathroom. Closing the door behind her, she stripped down to nothing and hopped in to rushing warm water.
At first she was freezing cold but then her body became warm and her muscles relaxed under the beating water. Washing her hair and body she then turned it off and climbed out, wrapping the towel around her small figure. Making her way back to her bedroom, she heard a rustling of papers. Peering into her room she smiled as she saw a small black fur ball peeking through a bunch of papers that were lying on her desk. Two blue eyes squinted as Eve made her way into the room. Opening her closet she looked through an assortment of clothing and finally chose a simple outfit for her first week of school. It's weird for a girl to be starting school in October but her mother decided to move. One, her job and two, she couldn't handle living in the house Eve's father died in.
Pulling her Converse on she went back into the bathroom and plugged the hair dryer in. A blast of hot air hit her face but then she shifted her hand her short, chocolate brown hair was blowing everywhere.
October. One of her favorite months of the year, Halloween was just in a couple short weeks and then she can go and haunt the night. Halloween is where she can be whatever she ants to be. The one time where she's free. Free of the rules, a place where she can be and do whatever she wants to. Of course she's not one of those sluts. No. She despises them. They lose they're virginity and might even get pregnant. Rolling her eyes she went back into hger room where the mystic black cat came up and rubbed against her legs, purring as loud as a motor. It was 6:50. Just enough time to eat soemthing. Picking the blue eyed kitten up into her arms she smiled at it and made her way down to the kitchen.
Hearing a door slam shut and then footsteps walking, she knew it was her mother. Who else would it be. grabbing a juicy red apple she waited for the outcome. Turning around, she saw the medium figure of he mother. They nodded to each other and then something unexpected happened. Her mother talked. "Do you need a ride to school?" There were dark circles under her mothers eyes and she looked flushed as if she'd been crying. "No. I can walk. It's only ten minutes away." Her mother nodded, and she nodded back. Grabbing a messenger bag off of the kitchen chair, she slung it over her shoulder. "Have a nice day at school." Without looking back at her mother she mumbled quietly, "Sure," she said as she set the cat down and walked out of the household towards the school.
