ONE FINE BEAUTIFUL DAY, a series of incidents began happening wherein people began to be 'infected' through their computers by entities that claim to be highly evolved, sentient computer viruses. They claim they have grown bored of simply destroying data, and have decided to try mangling a more organic system... their overall goal seems to be complete control over their hijacked human hosts, in order to use their bodies for whatever mayhem and chaos they can create in the real world.

Of course, nobody knows for sure what they REALLY are and what their TRUE motives are, or even where they came from-- the problem remains that the victims are being forced to race against the clock for their own survival against a seemingly invincible parasite that threatens to completely eradicate their consciousness, ruining their mind and senses along the way-- and they can't rely on anybody but one another, as the uninfected would only brush their troubles off as delusion and overactive imagination.

Uh-ohhhhhhhh.
