He stood there, upon the cliffs that overlooked the crashing sea, waiting.
waiting...always waiting.
For an answer that would determine his fate. A fate that rested in the hands of his companion.
She stood there, bathed in the moonlight. Goddess, friend, and everything in betweem stared back at him, with eyes deep and dark with unspoken truths.
And somehow, the answer came to him, almost as surely as the singing of the stars high above his head. The truth was there, in those deep eyes that looked into the deepest parts of his soul. And that truth, no matter how much it cost him, meant something more than he could possibly imagine.
