So, starting earlier today, I went with a bunch of my friends to LA to attend Anime Las Angeles to promote our maid cafe, Mochi Cafe. The drive itself took only about an hour and a half, which is pretty short, and once we got here, I felt very out of place. This is the first time I've really gone to an anime convention. The only other convention I've ever really been to is Comic Con, and for some reason I feel more at home with all the Storm Troopers and Trekkies.
When I entered the hotel, it was anime cosplayers as far as the eye could see. I really felt as though I had taken a step into the old Randomness Book. However, there weren't really any cosplayers that caught my eye. I did see an Ikuto, I did see a Tamaki, but I had no urge to glomp them. I guess I really do still have some sanity. The only person I really had the urge to hug was a cute, little girl dressed as Momiji. And I did hug her ^_^
After all the browsing and such, we finally went to our rooms and got dressed into our uniforms. It was the first time I had ever cosplayed, not counting Halloween, so I was really nervous walking around as a cute little maid. However, I got used to it after a little while. The only problem I had was with my outfits because the top is too loose and I have to constantly adjust it so I don't expose my bra, which I think I did during one of our dances >.>;;
We basically went around the place getting our pictures taken and advertising our cafe. After a while, we actually started setting up our own little area to promote our cafe and play games with costumers. I was nervous and shy at first, but I eventually got into the whole maid "cute and bubbly" thing, which is kinda weird for me. Later on, around 9:30 pm, we starting doing our main dance Mune Mune Kyun in front of everyone outside. I have the whole dance down, I just keep making stupid mistakes Dx The only dance I'm having trouble with is Relax! because I have trouble keeping up with others. But I do love Love and Joy, even if it is fast.
So now, I'm justing sitting on one of the maid's laptops, typing away all of today's events while the others are out partying. I would love to join them, but my stupid headache forbids it Dx Oh well. This whole thing is lasting till Sunday anyway. I just hope I don't flash anyone again >.>;;
