Wang Yao woke up from his bed, sitting up and glancing over at the clock by his bedside. It was exactly five a.m. in the morning. He always rose this early anyhow, right at the strike of sunrise. The sun, as if on cue, began shining the first rays through his window. Yao stretched his arms a bit, and got out of bed, hurriedly fixing his blankets and making the bed, and then getting changed. He really had no choice of what to wear today; it was the first day of school, and the only thing he could wear was the World Academy school uniform. He buttoned up his mandarin-collar white Chinese shirt, and then pulled on the beige-tan sweater vest that was typical of the World Academy uniforms. After donning the plaid uniform pants, Yao was almost all dressed for the day. He lastly had to brush his long black hair and tie it back into its habitual ponytail. After a quick glance into the mirror, he went out into the hallway, shutting the door behind him.
"Kiku! Mei-mei! Yong Soo! Hong-kun!" Yao called out, waking up his younger siblings, the rest of East Asia. They all lived in one big house together during their summers before going off into the World Academy, where they would be assigned to dormitory rooms. They were soon all awake, and dressed in their uniforms for the school day.
The East Asian family met in the open kitchen to eat their breakfast, and Yao did the cooking. After their hearty meal, they all grabbed their backpacks and set off for the first day at the World Academy for the new school year.

Yao entered the front doors of the school last, after his siblings had all run in. The group of Asians made their way to the Main Office to pick up their schedules, dorm room keys, and any announcements that they needed. There was a rather long line in the main office though, and the secretary seemed pretty annoyed, but she had to try her best to maintain her patience. Yao waited in the line patiently, and tried to hush Yong Soo when he grew too noisy.
