Hehe...doom ship...
The group had just come from what looked like ruins, using the liquids they had found there to oil up the ship and make it more sleek. Onima had used some of the oils on herself, and spent most of the day sliding up and down the deck of the ship like a little kid with wool socks on a marble floor. That is...Until Zapook sent her up to the crows nest before resuming Tina's 'job' of mopping up the deck. Zee decided to keep Zapook company.
Aight! How was it?
Zee was laying on one of the ship's banisters, like a giddy school girl at a sleepover, smiling at a rather annoyed looking Zapook.
You are truly a great annoyance, you know that?
And You are avoidin' the question.
Zapook rolled her eyes, growling, and was about to head back below deck and check on the ship once more. Zee jumped down, quickly cutting her off with a grin.
Oh come on, just tell me this at least. Why did you do it?
Do what?
You know. The kiss.
There was nothing behind it. Drop it.
I didn't ask that. I asked why.
Fine... You know how men are, right? Well...You don't because with felines, women are more dominant...
Damn Straight.
...Look. A person will be more willing to protect something they feel is theirs or something they feel close to.
...Yeah?
..In this case, someone.
Oooooh...I get it.
Louie is as volatile as you in a situation like this. I don't want him turning on us. So...If I get in close, he's going to want to attack me or anyone close to me.
That's....Genius actually.
I know.
So you don't actually like him?
Nope. Now will you get off my case?
Yeah yeah. Sure sure.
There was a crash that sent Zapook falling to her rear, and made Zee drop to all four, growling. Louie ran out, looking around in a panicked fashion, with Aussa and Tina at his side.
Onima was screaming her head off, pointing toward the back of the ship. Zee and Louie were the one's to check it out, and nothing could've scared the two of them more at the time.
It was another air ship riding their tail, crashing and hitting the back of their ship. Right on the bow of the assaulting ship was the figure of a large deer, eyes gleaming as if it was mad at the world. The two of them panicked. and ran back toward the group.
CAN'T YOU GET HIM OFF OUR a**!?
ASK YOUR NEW BOYFRIEND! HE'S THE ONE THAT SAID HE COULD KILL AN ELK BAREHANDED!!
That's true! Provided we're talking about normal elk!
Is there not anything we can do to evade them?!
Why the hell is the ship itself after us though?!
Probably because that demonic b*****d is forcing his crew to chase after me! ...I mean us.
You're the one that pissed him off!!!
Where is your little brown furred friend?
...Aussa?
The ship jerked randomly, before diving off to the side, as the assaulting ship made another attempt to ram us, causing it to cruise past us with the eyes of the agitated deer still locked on Zee. Everyone did their best to hold on to anything or anyone near them.
As the other ship made several more attempts at trying to cause damage, the Neko No Seika swerved, ducked, and dodged the other ship. Louie managed make his way to where the captain's wheel and navigation system was, only to find a very panicked Aussa wildly steering the ship, yelling random things out to herself. Louie was confused, but did nothing to interrupt her, and instead, helped in anyway he can.
As the ship pulled out of the forest, the other ship slowed to a halt at the edge of the forest, before turning and starting to detour around the forest. The ship went into cruising mode again, and Aussa emerged with Louie to the cheers of her family and friend, as with a few 'congrats' thrown in by their guide.
They were happy to be away from the other ship, and even out of the forest, as it was a sign of progress. Unfortunately, they quickly realized they were now in the dessert. The crew didn't realize how bad that would be on them.
