The large steam driven ship was parked next to several other ships near a large wooden fort. Zapook, Aussa and Tina were currently inside of the fort, while Zee was off in the forest with Louie hunting for food. Onima was left alone on the ship, and was currently trying to stave her boredom by exploring. This led her to dig around for 'hidden treasures' in the cabin of the ship, where Zapook and Aussa kept most of the documents. There, she found a small diary belonging to one of the crew members.
Hmm...I really shou- I'M GONNA READ IT!
And without had practically torn the book in half as she hastily opened it up, skimming through the pages. It turns out that the book was similar to a captain's log, yet it wasn't written by the ship's captain.
Day XX/XX
Those two. They're up to something. Louie might have been a bad choice. Being somewhat similar to what he is, I can tell what's on his mind. Which is a problem. His so called hunger, has led him to my little reserve of blood vials. If I run out, Zee's ravenous appetite wouldn't be all this ship will have to endure. In fact... Louie AND I will be a threat. Not like I haven't taken blood from Zee before, though it helps to know Zee, Aussa, and Tina are immune to vampirism due to their...'breed'...But they're not immortal. They're not immune to blood lost. I wouldn't want to get carried away. Nor do i want HIM to as well. Speaking of ravenous appetites, Zee is bugging me. She's got that look in her eye, thought the only one who'd have to worry is Onima. It doesn't seem like she's interested in Onima that much though, which worries me even more. I have a feeling there's another reason Zee agreed to go on this trip other than to kill boredom. I just hope I'm wrong.
Onima stared at the page intently, before dropping the book back on the desk.
Bored now. Gonna find Aussa's PSP.
Aussa, Zapook and Tina returned first. Zapook immediately went below deck, to store the few supplies they bought. Tina immediately sought Onima out, and was relieved to find her in the ship's crows nest.
Are you ok, sweetheart?
I'm booooooreeed. And hungry. Why are they taking so long with the food?
Maybe the hunting in this area is a bit more difficult than the last?
Oh. Nevermind!
Onima giggled, watching as Zee and Louie approach the ship, caring a large burden in each of their arms. Upon reaching the deck, they drop their loads; which consist of dead elk, deer, bear, and even a few grunnies. Zee, Louie, Zapook and Aussa start to go through the pile, separating and eventually storing their rations, while Tina with Onima standing next to her. Zee then walked up holding an eggplant and grinning.
I found something for you as well Tina.
You found vegetables? For me? I am touched, sister. Usually you are not one to do such nice...things...for....
Her words trailed off as Zee lets the vegetable drop to the floor, only for it to run around in a panicked matter. The two sisters watched as the scared fruit zipped back and forth, before Zee actually sticks her foot out, and trips it, making it slide to a stop in front of Tina. She then kneels down, poking at it as it lays lifelessly in on the deck of the ship.
...I am not even sure if I should eat this or not...
With the ship fully stocked and the crew as lively as ever, they were off again.
So... Why are people going out to this demigod jelly fish thing?
To pay their respect and help in anyway they can.
And...the Vampires originally did this?
Yes.
Well...Do you know why?
Now why in the world would you ask me that?
Well...you are a vampire as well.
And so are you.
...I wasn't born on Gaia. I have nothing to do with this whole thing.
And neither do I. We're even.
Hey, I'm just asking a question!
And I'm telling you to drop it! I have nothing to do with Vampires harming gaians!
Oh yeah! This coming from the same freeloader who went through a third of my blood supply! So ******** believable!
I have needs too!! You can't expect to lord something like that over me without expecting to share!!!
I WOULDA GLADLY SHARED IF YOU ACTUALLY ASKED ME!!!
HOW CAN I ASK WITH YOU BEING SO DAMN UPTIGHT!!!
MAYBE I'LL JUST GIVE YOU ALL THE BLOOD AND JUST ******** STARVE!!!
MAYBE I'LL JUST GIVE IT BACK AND FEED ON ONE OF YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS IN STEAD!!!
WELL MAYBE YOU SHOULD!!!!
WELL MAYBE I WILL!!!
They glared at each other, growling with a hint of hissing escaping both of their throats, before Zapook leans in and kisses the now confused travel guide. Just as suddenly as she had started, she broke the kiss, turning back toward the wheel of the ship.
That never happened. Got it?
...Got....Got it...
Also, if you hurt anyone else on this ship, I will kill you. Got it?
...R...right...
Oh. One more thing.
She glares, turning and slapping him, before grabbing the wheel again.
That's for spending some of our money for that new black cape on your shoulders.
