Svárthil is born a fire jötunn in the deep crevices of Múspellsheimr.
Like the frost giants, they have no real set gender, but are mostly male dominated. 'Male' pregnancies are common amongst their race and so it isn't unusual to find a pregnant man walking through the fiery crags of Múspellsheimr.
Svárthil is the second son of King Svárth, but still a very domineering and commanding member.
