The beast awakens in the snow suddenly. It lost all memory of the reason why its’ in the snow, and why its’ drenched in blood. The beast’s head tilted to the side, in a curious manner. Trying to make out what had happened earlier. It couldn’t recall anything from earlier. The beast felt its’ head spinning in confusion. Still trying to figure out what happened. It thought for a long moment, till its’ head started to hurt from all the incoming thoughts.
"Where did this pool of frozen blood come from?" It spoken to itself for the moment in a very quiet tone as it wonders. It then it looked around for any bodies, but only has seen a huge hole, and a few visible foot prints in the snow. Then, a random memory appeared in its’ mind. It was just a dark figure, of a human male? He said something, but the beast doesn’t remember the words that he had said to it. The strange creature shook its’ head, and walked in the deep, blood-stained snow. Now even more confused from the flash-back.
Still trying to figure out what to do next, the beast walked for a while at a random direction in the vast white snow. The creature stopped at the forest-edge at a lone tree, which stood in front of edge by at least five yards. It tried to sit itself down under the tree, but heard a distant noise before it could react a dark shadowy hole appeared under its’ feet. The hole seemed to pull the beast inside, making the creature frighten for the split moment. Then as the beast landed on its feet gracefully, it looked around in the dark strange new area it was pulled to. Its’ eyes glowed cyan as it stood there in the darkness. The beast then seen a pool of water nearby, only a few feet away, so it washed itself from the dry blood it was covered in. It cleaned itself with its claw like hands. Scrubbing itself till it was white again as it stepped its’ whole form in the pool. It was just deep enough to take the beast’s size in for a quick clean. Yet, it was odd for the creature as it realized something.
‘Eh? This is odd… This place is warm?’ The beast stood silent as it looks around. This place was warmer than the icy cold world that is above. The beast just realized the different climate it was in. It then sniffed around the ground to familiarize itself with the scents around itself, as it went out of the water, for a moment before crawling in its’ stalking position. The white creature heard high pitched eerie sounds from a distance; as it crawled to a warmer spot that is dry. It stopped for a moment as the sounds gotten louder, gaining a close distance to it. The sounds are coming to the beast at a fast pace.
'...What can that sound be?' it thought as it crept towards the sound, hearing yells and whimpering. It heard shouting rising in different volumes. They are very close now, but who are they? Also, why such giggles of tormenting someone else? And, what are their reasons here?
"You damned demons! Where is my sister!" a human male voice raised from the little evil giggles. The beast knows it was a human and male just by the tone it wasn’t like a creature like itself. The white creature froze, and hid behind a catacomb. It listened to the things that were happening. The beast stood silent as it peeked over the catacomb. ‘Hmm…What is going on here now?’
"Hehehe, the ‘Master’ will be happy for us! We finally got one, a male human!" one small creature has said in an eerie high-pitched-tone, which was annoying to hear. Like a rough voiced British-woman. They, the small strange two-legged creatures, danced around the tied up and blooded human. They were poking him with their sharp small spears made of stone. The white beast stood a bit taller to observe what was happening. It was seen by its’ curiosity, to the man. The male looked right into the beast's eyes as he saw it standing there peeking around. It heard the male's voice in its mind.
"Great Eryuu, please help me out of here, in return I'll be your servant! I can tell you’re different from the others..." but didn't see his mouth move as he spoken, thinking he was speaking out loud. It tilted it head in confusion. It thought to itself wanting to say, ‘What the… Hell?’ Yet, the beast have accidently exposed itself to the little creatures as it stepped closer to them.
"Get that White-Eryuu! Master would be very pleased with that gift!" one of the smaller creatures yelled out, and started a charge at the beast. The white beast just stood there as they charged all at once, and out of annoyance the beast swing its' long whip like tail at them. Sending them all flying into the cave catacombs, and through the cave walls. The human male burst out laughing as the smaller creatures hit the cave walls. He witnessed the quick slap on the small creatures, which was a very funny thing to see. But, the beast just tilted its head to the side as it crawled to the male, and then it untied him.
"Thank you Eryuu, at least you have kindness in you still...unlike most..." he said as he gazed up at it.
"Eryuu do you know how to speak?" he asked. The creature thought for a moment and shrugged at his question.
"Hmm, really Eryuu, are you playing with me? Well, I am at your service for now, will you help me find my sister and I will help you whatever you need? I am at your service till death now." the male have said in his quiet tone.
"...." the white creature stared at the man for a moment as it was thinking deeply on what he had said. It then looked up for no reason as it gazed above its’ eyes still glowing its’ brilliant hue of a bright cyan.
"I don’t know yet human…I don’t think I need any help…" it spoken as its’ now icy-golden irises, from a shift in mood, set upon the male's face still thinking to itself. The male stared back at the creature. Trying to remember the color of the beast’s eyes he had gotten himself confused for the silent moment.
"What is your name, great one?" he tilted his head slightly to his left as he asked the first question that popped in his mind. The moment was quieter than earlier now. The beast looked up at the ceiling of the cave wanting to ignore the question, but it was gnawing at her.
‘I have no name...’ The creature thought to itself as it came up with its’ own answer for him. It then turned around, starting to walk off as it tries to leave the male behind. But, it didn't work. The man fallowed the white beast as it wondered off; not knowing what would happen next if a wrong move was made by him.
The beast walked in rhythm to itself for a while. It frozen in step suddenly, as it heard a voice somewhere, calling it. From deep within its’ own mind, the beast heard the same thing like before when it first awaken in the snow alone. The voice spoken in a dark tone saying, "Into the darkness it shall sleep, into the light it will be reborn...watch your back, a warning to all. This demon determines your faith. This demon can't die, for it has a deal with me-" but, then the creature gotten startled by the male who bumped into it, nearly hitting himself into the creature's spiked arm. The beast looked at the male as he fell to the ground.
"Ouch, that was a sudden stop..." he said. The creature just gazed at the male for a slight moment, as if it was going to do something terrible to him. Yet, the creature didn't do anything, it just growled out "Watch your step!" as it first spoken out loud to the male. It was a famine tone the beast let out as it glared at him.
"Whoa...your voice seems really different from what you look like..." he blinked up at the creature. He looked over the creature’s frame from its feet to its horns. The beast’s frame was very slender, but it is obvious that the creature is a young one; because the body of the creature isn’t fully developed into an adult, like the others of its kind. Both sexes of these creatures vary upon their personality they have, and females are rare.
"Eryuu...you’re a female?" he asked dumb founded for a moment. It just mumbled under its breath as it heard another voice in its head. "Into the darkness your "Soul" shall be eaten. Awaken into the darkness, you never know what awaits." it was a strange thing for it, ‘her’, to hear, ringing in its mind for a while.
"Come on let’s get out of here...this place is boring me..." the demons said and swing its arm as if cutting a way to another place. From that swing it cut the air and a dark shadowy hole appeared. Its white skin crawled as a cool winter breeze shot through the hole.
"What is that?!" the male freaked out as he looked at the strange dark hole.
"Get moving this gate not going to stay open forever." the femme beast muttered at the male. The male stood up and debated if he should go in, or not. He went in slowly, but the obvious happened. The creature pushed the male threw the dark portal, into a soft pile of snow in the middle of nowhere. As the beast was ready to hop in after, something pulled it into another hole without warning from her end. She blinked in confusion; it just wondered what had dragged it into another place. A different place from where she was going.
"What in the world?" she looked around. A tall dark figure stood over the beast from behind, hovering.
"Well-well... My child I finally found you" the person said to her, a dark-male-ish tone. The creature looked up at him. Or so it thinks it’s a male.
"Who might you be? I know I have no family..." it slightly glared at him. The man chuckled showing his pale, white face; his hair was long, black, that seem to drape him.
"Heh, that is funny my dear child" the male chuckled at the creature.
"Now dearie, would you want a refresher on what have happened a few nights ago?" he smirk a bit as he stared at the demon on the ground. A few moments went by and he glared at the demon for an answer.
"Don't keep me waiting girl! I like an answer" he started to snap at the demon. She looked up at the male and nodded. He then pulled out a huge book that is covered in black leather. It has a buckle that was shaped with a strange mark, and seems to be made of silver.
"It’s right in here my child, the last few nights tell how you were created." he mumbled slightly as he opened the huge book and flipped through less than a fifth of the book.
"You were in a hopeless battle after this human male was attacked. You died after killing your twentieth Eryuu. By whom I wonder? We don't know. You and I have made a deal do you want a refresher my child?" his black eyes stared down at the creature.
"I think I remember some... The deal was... If I agree to live and unleash my full power, I will serve you... And in return you give me life and..." she stopped at tried to remember more.
"And a special power that is extremely rare to be given away by me... But you must devour a 'thousand' souls, before I give you the gift... Now go, you have worked to do my child..." he said before she could remember. He pushed the creature into another hell hole sending her to the upper world. As she just flew upwards in an explainable law of gravity. She landed; on her feet, in the middle of a waste land field. Seeing nothing just the snow around her.
"Hmm...He wants one thousand Souls? Now where can I get such souls?" she said to herself as she stood up straight. Dusting her armor plate that made her seem to be a male, from others first sight at her.
"Hmm… I guess I'll head… East?" she looked up as she thought to herself. The white creature blend in with the snow, for the unexpected walking victims could not see her. The creature could smell them but, she could not see them in the day light. Her vision was blurred as she glanced around.
"Hmm… that scent...is familiar..." she turned around to the scent behind her. Then, she crouched low in the snow as she heard sounds of males’ approaching towards her. 'This seems to be too easy...' she thought. She looked around, and lowered her head down.
"Come on boy, we must get to the village! We are very late with this message to the Elders. You know this is very important" the older one yelled as he marched ahead from the other; in a good distance. The creature stared hard at the males. She debated with herself, for only a moment as she lowered herself to the ground. She wondered if she should just lounge at him. She lingered in the snow, calmly as her golden irises changed to a deep violet. The creature was well blended in the snow. Then, the older male felt a wave of ire in the air ahead of him. He stopped.
"Do you feel that boy?" he looked back as his eyes widen in sudden fear. It was too dark for them to see her. Even, though it was dawn.
"What do you mean sir?" the young man asked as he finally caught up with him. The demon slowly crept up to them, as she prepared herself to attack. Yet, she paused. For a still moment she felt a 'holy' energy in a distance. She dared not to stand, since her victims were mere feet away from her. She wanted to move so badly, so she could search for the strong energy behind her.
"Feel what sir?" the young male looked up at the older one a bit lost. The old man looks around hard, till he heard a voice in the distance. It was a male calling for them, which are all they all could make out.
"Now what!?" She thought out loud in her mind as she scooted back a few half steps away from the two.
"Hello there! Are you perhaps the messengers that I am seeking?" the strange man appeared, and passing the demon. He went around her as if he seen her presents before him. 'Can he see me?' she thought as she kept her eyes on the stranger.
"Depends sir...Who might you be?" the younger man asked as he was ready to fight.
"Calm yourself boy... Now maybe if we know who you are sir" the old man said to him. 'Boring!' she thought, yet she does not know if she should just eat them and move on, since after all she grew very hungry. For something she can't tell what the craving was. The entire creature knows that she is starting to crave for the taste of blood. Her tail swiftly sways to the right, not making a sound as she backed away; as the strange male took a step towards her. She glared at him with stunning cyan irises.
"Hm, what a beautiful beast, I never seen one like this before." He muttered to himself, as he looked into the creature's eyes, knowing that the others cannot see her.
"What are you talking about, sir?" the old man squinted his eyes at him, thinking that the new face have gone a little insane; by staring at the snow-pile nearby.
"Oh nothing, I am called Roya. I am an assistant to the Shaman on the North." he said quietly, not taking his eyes off the creature. Her skin crawled as the man that called himself Roya stared intensively at her. She had thought running through her mind.
"The assistant? Well then you are the one we need to give tis message to then." the old man said and pulled out a scroll from under his thick layers of his fur cloak.
"This was handed to us...” Her eyes widen from the stench of the scroll. It was of something like her, another Eryuu. Yet, this smell was more of a holy mixed scent. It must've been a guardian of some sacred place, before its' pelt is used like this by the mortals. She growled softly, accidently exposing herself to all of the males before her.
"Have you gone mad old man?! Put that scroll away! This young creature is unease by that!" Roya shouted as the creature revealed itself. The old man shook in pure fear as he seen it, mere feet’s away from them. He then dropped the scroll on the ground. The younger male eyes widen, he have never seen an Eryuu up so close like this before. He only stood very still. Gripping his hunting knife in his right hand, thinking to himself 'I've should've brought my spear...' The creature grew angry, and she doesn’t even know why.
"Was that scroll made from an Eryuu pelt?" Roya asked quietly. The old man nodded then passed out in the deep snow. The young male screamed and charged himself at the Eryuu. Before he knew it, she wasn't scared of him charging like most creatures, they would run off, but not she. She charged back, swinging her strong whip like tail at him when they impacted each other.
The young male didn't felt what had happed, as he thought he drew blood on the Eryuu. The creatures’ eyes glowed bright cyan, as her bloody tail swayed. The young male looked down at his side, at a sudden stinging pain that was delayed. Roya backed away slowly, trying not to draw attention to him. The young male fell to his knees facing the white demon. Her cyan glare was intensively strong, as it turned a golden yellow. She then pounce him, with the tip of her tail piercing through his chest to his back, causing an instant kill. Her mask fell off her face, reviling long sharp teeth. She then bit down on the young male, devouring his flesh. She had torn him apart quickly. Roya just stood there witnessing the attack before him. Then she had seen a soft grey orbed light that floated from the young male. Instinctively she catches it with her long boney claws, and absorbed it in the crystal she wore. In the back of her mind it spoken.
'First soul child, you have one-hundred-ninety-nine to go'. Her gaze then turned to Roya. He stepped back holding his breath. He was hoping that he wasn't going to be her next victim, but only for a moment he thought that. The creature then put the mask back on upon her face. She then just looked at him for a moment and turned her back against him, slowly walking away. The old man came around and sat up.
"Where's-!!" before he could finish his sentence, he seen blood all over in the snow.
"Your young partner... He charged at that young Eryuu...your people never learned how to face and fight the Eryuu huh?" Roya said as he finally took a breath.
"What?!" the old man yelled not understanding him. "Never mind, just return to your village, and fast..." Roya said as he picked up the scroll. Roya then watched the young creature in the distance, walking into the dark forest. "Should I fallow that Eryuu?" he asked himself, but mindlessly fallowed the creatures’ footsteps, which were barely noticeable.
"I've never seen a white Eryuu before... Could it be a sign of some sort?" he thought to himself again, as he followed the beast into the dark forest. His eyes adjusted to the darkness of the forest trying not to trip onto fallen branches. He looked long and hard into the distance, and seen a dim soft light ahead in the forest.
"Could that light... Be that Eryuu?" he whispered to himself. Seemingly that Roya like talking to himself. She, the beast, sat down on a huge rock in the snow humming to her. That hum turned to a soft gentle lullaby. Her blooded tail swayed gently as she looked up through the trees.
"Hmm?" Roya looked at the creature from the distance seeing the creature's long mane covering its slender body. It softly glowed heavenly from the snow around her. Her plated armor on her torso was a dull golden color that he has never seen before. He knew the creature was a female, because of it soft song in a language he have never heard of before. Roya stood there watching from afar, admiring her voice as she cleaned the blood off her long blue tinted mane.
