Roya then continued his way slowly passing the Eryuu. She paid him no mind as she cleaned the blood off herself. She then laid down in the snow and fallen deep asleep. Dreaming of dreams that was not her own. She dreamt it though.
'She wonders through it, the dream, seeing many different creatures running in fear of something or someone. A dark shadowy figure was appeared in the distance. It grew bigger as she stood there; as the other demons and Eryuu ran pass her. She stood fearless on her hinge-legs; with her long mane flowing to the front of her face. She stared down at the dark figure. The wind whispered something to her ears, she couldn't understand it. For “It” had spoken in a strange language that she did not understand.'
She slumbered through the first day light that have shown in a very long time. Roya returned seeing her still asleep in the snow. He sees it as a sign of a good omen that the sun finally came up in nearly three years of darkness.
"So, my eyes' weren't playing tricks on me. A white Eryuu... How strange... I've only heard of red, green, blue, and grey Eryuu... But never have I heard of a white one..." he said to himself as he gazed down at it, as he was mere feet away from the creature. He kneeled down to her not fearing her, just staring hard at her. She only purred softly in her slumber. Her tail swayed softly up and down, slowly curled around her through her strange dream she was having.
"I think... There was a tail of a White one... I think..." he mumbled. Roya then poked her tough skin with a stick that he just found showing clearly out of the snow. Slightly hoping that the white creature would move. Yet the creature was still deep asleep. He then looked around.
"I wonder... Should I bring this Eryuu to the village shaman?" he stood above it thinking how heavy she might be if he carried her. He stared at her intensely as she slept. The white creature still didn't move she was still like a rock, barley showing that she is breathing. Only sound that could be heard from her was a very low purring sound as she slept. Roya exam her strong features. With amazement, he leaned closer to her. He saw a strange mark on the beasts' left shoulder.
"What is this I see here?" He took a closer look at the creature as he lean closer. He pulled out the scroll he took from the massager, and looked at every symbol it held information. Yet, he found nothing.
"Must be in another scroll... I swear I've seen this mark somewhere... but where?" he said as he then picked up the creature, without thinking of what might happen if she woken up. To his surprise the female creature was extremely light as a feather.
She dangled over him as her body shifted into a strange furry animal. "So... This is what you Eryuu do in the day? Shift into different animals..." He mumbled then walked off towards his village.
He walked through the thick forest quietly, trying not to waken the white beast. He then stopped as he heard an echo of an eerie voice.
"Roya... Be careful of that beast... She no normal Eryuu..." the voice came from the forest.
Roya looked around quickly, looking for the person that spoken to him. "How you know my name spirit or demon?" he asked loudly; he spun around as the voice laughed at him. "I know you boy." The mark on the creature glowed slightly purple; as she slowly awakens with dull grey eyes. Her ears perked up quickly as the eerie voice chuckled more.
"How do you know me?" Roya hollered out, still searching for the source of the voice. She remains dangling over the male's shoulder as she listens to the eerie tone. Her senses were high alert as the voice just chuckled at the question. "I know all; I hear what the forest hears. I see what the trees see."
"Alba?" she whispers as her eyes locked on a distant figure, she rolled on Roya's shoulder as her canine chest is on him. The young male eyes widen as he realized that the demon was awake, and highly alerted.
"Who's Alba?" he stuttered still holding the wolf formed demon with both arms, trying not to let her free from his grasps.
"Ah, so you see me white demon? Strange very few humans can see me and have I ever been seen by your kind? Your sight must be very good, perhaps better then I?" he said as this Alba character had step out of the shadows. This Alba was extremely tall, approximately seven feet tall. Roya was only able to see a tall shadowy figure from the corner of his eye; only able to see as much as he can through the creatures' thick white fur.
"Seems like you heard of me Eryuu but, why haven't I heard of you hm? Where you just created from death or life?" he asked with his full age tone, it was obvious that he was older than anyone that Roya and the best he is carrying had ever heard.
"Blah, why am I even asking you that you probably don't know your true origin huh?" the beast growled lowly staring at Alba with piercing grey eyes. Her gaze was very intense to him, he felt a chill he had never thought he would ever get in his long Life. Roya stood there confuse, not knowing what he should do next. He thought about just running away with the Eryuu. Yet he is very puzzled by this Alba character.
"...May we leave ancient one, known as Alba?" Roya foolishly asked. "You may leave, but leave the beast I is my duty to watch over any creature here."
"But this creature is not of this forest." Roya have claimed as he held the beast tighter, as if the female is his pride and joy. "True, but it is obvious that the white Eryuu is rare, very rare. Yet, she is too young to leave out of a guardians’ sight." She never took her sight off of Alba, right then she thought about attacking him but, she is too tired at this time. She felt something draining her slowly, just don't know what.
"Who are you? I heard the beast call you Alba, and indeed you are older than any being I know of."
"I am Alba, guardian of this forest. Also I am puzzled on where this creature came from, the light or darkness? Normally newborns would either attack any being come to sight or hide in confusion, in fear of me... But why not her?" he tilted his head to the side in his curiosity as he examined the creature.
She just glared up at him with her golden hues as she continued to growl at Alba. Her ears went backwards not showing any fear of this guardian. She spoke "I fear no creature, nor man, I am a beast of great strength that nothing can compare to me. I am no ordinary beast, as I know you are not as well..." then she felt a strange urge in her. For Alba's flesh, since she can't sense anything that is spiritual about him. Alba stared at her with a sudden fear in his heart.
'Why do I fear such a silly creature? Hell the Eryuu can never match my speed and power. Yet why is this one is different?' he thought to himself as he slightly tremble from the intimidating stare from the small creature.
Roya felt an odd energy in the air. "Huh...Can we leave now Alba? I kind of got somewhere to be right now and I am burning daylight..."
"As I said boy! You may leave but that creature stays here!" Alba roared as he gazes left off the beast and on to the small male. The beast eyes grew; she began to shake herself from the male's grip.
"LET ME GO DAMNIT! I WANT TO TARE HIM TO SHREADS!" she yelled out as she scratched Roya trying to lunge at Alba.
"Calm down! I am not going to let you go, you are to important right now!" he answered not knowing why he has said it. She continued to growl out at Alba. The tall dark man just looked at her in fear of not knowing what she is capable to he have never encounter such a daring beast. She has proven that she can be very powerful and shown that she fears nothing; from a simple stare. Suddenly, Alba froze. He felt something creeping up both of his legs. Light like a spider's touch. He dared not to look down to see what it was. He didn’t want to take his eyes off the beast. Yet, just for that one moment; all that the creature needed to break free. Roya lost his grip on the white wolf. All he seen next was dark blood in his face. Not knowing if it was his or the beast he fainted from the strong odor.
Alba saw nothing but darkness after the beast strikes him at his neck. 'Is this how I am going to die?' he thought.
The beast doesn’t know why she did what she did. All she wanted was Alba's blood. This was a powerful urge that she can't ignore.
