the flag displaying the jolly roger waved in the breeze as captain deep steered their ship on course through the deep blue waves. the day was clear enough and there were hardly any clouds in the sky. the captain lay her coat down. it was too warm to wear and she didnt need it. the wind blew feircly, and she removed her scarf which interfered with her eyesight. she also removed her hat and her parrot was sleeping inside. or siging. however he decided to spend his days. she also kicked off her shoes so she could let her feet get some open air. her pendant glowed and then she heard the cry that rang out so sharply, so crisply that it made the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end. "NAVAL SHIP, 8:00!!!" captain deep coughed. "what was that you sea dog?" "a naval ship captain!" replied the crewmate. "naval ship off the port bow." captain deep inhaled sharply. "no ship can catch the gull. were safe." she assured, but the crew was still on end. the wind would favor them, and it was true, their ship could not be rivaled in speed. but something about this ship was different. it was coming after pirates and that they were. they had recently gotne in trouble with the navy trying to get their map to find more treasure, and they had been delayed quite a lot. what if they were caught? capt deep took no chances and told the crew to get the sails as big as they could possibly be. she hoped that would be enough.
