I'm not gonna say why yet publicly for any of this as I'm unsure but it's def a possibility. I am legit upset and seriously hurt. Gaia has been a HUGE part of my life for almost 20 years. I've been able to cope with all my mental issues here such as my extreme body dysmorphia among many other things by being able to fully express myself with the avatars, by making profiles and my blog. I grew up in this place even tho I joined when I was like 20 or 21. I srsly can't imagine my life without this place but it may just come to that.
This is where I met my beloved husband who literally saved my life. I'd be dead if it wasn't for him, seriously. I've also met many life long friends here who I could never imagine my life without. Some of my oldest and most treasured memories were made here. Gaia is 100% irreplaceable and nothing could ever compare to this place. No modern site could ever be better than Gaia in terms of its aesthetic with its old style forums, profiles, etc. Even Gaia's avatar aspect is unique as they have prob millions of items. Modern platforms quite frankly suck and that's what Gaia's always done right, they never changed.
All that being said, Gaia isn't without its problems, ie mainly the lack of moderation and countless problematic users repeatedly getting away with hate speech and harassment after being reported several times while the good users get banned over the most trivial things. There just comes a point where enough is enough and we just can't take anymore of all that. I too am effected by those flaws. I've been harassed for years by several users and I've yet to see them get banned.
Idk what I will do with myself without Gaia and I do know that I have an unhealthy attachment to my Gaia account. I've put years of my life into this and it's one of my most important things that I own. Gaia will be greatly missed if I do end up giving this place up but if that happens, I will be completely cutting it out of my life and out of my community.

For now, it seems I'm here to stay but I wanted to have this here in case things ever change. I will explain further to anyone who may be curious via PM so reach out if you want to know what happened.
