I've abandoned the hope that anyone will read insightful words in the GD longer than 2 sentences. That is why I copied and pasted my recent post because I think there is some insight be gained.
"My generation is sped. So far, Generation Y has had little to fight for, well, actually, we have quite a bit to be concerned about, but we pretty much stopped caring. We should be Generation Apathy.
I mean, our parents fought or lived through Vietnam, their parents saw WWII and even The Great Depression. Look what they did. The Bonus Army, the massive protests, the incredible social commentary from fabulous artists, not to mention the AIDS crisis. For us, it all seems like a game. How many people woke up and thought 9/11 was a movie scene or looked at it like a video game? We're so far removed and lack this, "it could happen to us," reality.
So, all we do is stand around, our hands up our asses with our heads in the sand.
Mum and dad make our guilt money. Buy us off, and sit us in front of the TV and the computer while we do nothing radical. We challenge no "fundamental" ideas.
Nevermind, we're Generation Shitsack."

I agree with the part that the youth in general are pretty much uninvolved and lack concern or care. but the rest i'm not sure whatcha trying to say.. though it is intriging.
