"You're an idiot," a young man with dyed pink hair stated coldly. He was tall. About nineteen years of age. He kind of looked like one of those street punks you saw in the movies that robbed the tiny, old women from the street. Baggy black pants, white wife beater covered by a black leather jacket, large combat boots, and to top it off he even had a pair of shades he had stolen from a store a while back. V1PER, as he was called, tilted his sun glasses down with a single finger, green eyes now showing. "No. Really. You're causing me to lose brain cells."
"V1PER! This is serious! You're the only one I can go to for help!" another boy, slightly younger, argued. He was clearly desperate for something.
V1PER kicked up his feet on to the park table and leaned back in the bench, lighting up a cancer stick as he did this. His arms were soon found along the back of the bench, supporting his weight. "No. I'm the only one that you chose to come to."
"Because you're the only one that knows about--" The boy closed his mouth quickly before speaking again. "...Because you're the only one that knows about... Your Kind."
"And so you trust the 'kind' that kidnapped your sister?"
"V1PER, I've known you long enough now to know you're not like them."
"Or am I?" V1PER asked with a cocky smirk.
"Stop messing around! I can't believe you! My sister is being held captive by those things and you're not even going to lift a finger?"
"Well in all reality she would have to be alive to be held captive and there is no proof those 'things', as you call them, haven't already made a snack out of her."
The boy clenched his hands, slamming an angry fist on the wooden table. "Dammit V1PER! Anya needs you! I need you! What happened to the old you? You changed after the--"
"******** you and bite me," V1PER said cutting off the painful past his childhood friend was about to bring up. "You speak one word of that and I'll make sure Anya becomes food."
The boy dropped his head. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said anything," he said raising his eyes to meet V1PERs. "V1Per... Please. I'll do anything. You can't let those creatures do anything to her. You love her."
"I did love her."
"What do you mean, did?"
"I mean I don't love people who rip out my heart and throw it on the ground only to stomp on it two seconds later."
"V1PER! You do love her! She just couldn't deal with--"
"What? Me being me? That's not loving me. That's being fake and playing a game that I wasn't about to get involved in."
The boy stood and leaned over V1PER, holding himself up by means of his knuckles against the splintery table. "How the hell could you say something like that?" That's not fair! If you were normal could you deal with her being like you? What would you do V1pER? Tell me!" V1PER quickly rose to his feet, making the boy suddenly feel small. His glasses were still down, forcing his friend to peer up in to the cold depths of hell that were his eyes.
"I sure as ******** hell wouldn't toy with someone the way she ******** did it to me. You don't ******** tell someone you love them and then laugh it off and say, 'Oops I was just kidding.' What motivation do I have to rescue that stupid girl from them? Tell me that you a*****e. For all I care those things could rip her apart and I wouldn't give two shits."
"You don't mean that and I know it," the boy snapped before retreating back to his cowering stance he was holding before. "I don't care what you say! You still love her and you wouldn't want anything bad to happen to her! You're trying to cover up your feelings with that 'bad assness' of yours! It's not going to work! I knew you before the accident V1PER! You had feelings! My sister meant the world to you! She--"
"Well clearly I didn't mean the ******** world to her now did I Talon? ******** off. Go screw yourself. You don't know s**t about how I ******** felt or feel."

As V1PER made his way back to his makeshift apartment he shoved his hands into his pockets. He missed the park already. The city was such a disgusting place filled with disgusting people that had no morals for themselves or others. After the accident this place had become worse then it had started off. The unstained park was a nice way to get away from it all from time to time. As the young man slumped along he soon found himself in deep thought under the setting sun. Do I love her? If I did why would I simply wave off her abduction? Maybe I'm hiding it from myself? V1PER had lost everything that day of the accident. Family, friends, Anya... He had shut everyone else out after she had so violently tore his heart out. That included himself. Ugh. Deep thought sucks.
V1PER's mind had been running on that he didn't even noticed that the streets had become dark now. People were slowly starting to drift from them and flee to their homes. They knew what time it was. They knew who ruled the streets as soon as the moon hit the sky. If they didn't? Well... They were nothing short of dead. V1PER's eyes darted to a nearby ally that was just off to his side. Those 'creatures' resided down there, in a broken down house towards the back. A few more people shoved passed V1PER. ********. His foot started tapping. Fine. You know what? Fine. This is only for Talon. Nothing more. Certainly not for that stupid girl. With that in mind he sharply turned the corner and headed down the vacant path.
He had reached the back in close to no time flat. There the eerie house stood in front of him. It sorta' made him think of one of those typical horror houses you saw in films. Complete with creaking noises and soft squalls here and there. This was it.

He was going in.

V1PER slowly pushed the door in only to be greeted by them. They all stood. Waiting. They knew he was coming and what exactly he was coming for. He wasn't leaving without Anya. A quick, sharp, pain ran through his back.

Then there was a howl.
