i might have been a little depressed when i wrote this one...

Love and Death

You called my your angel
Called me your dove
Called me a dove
Sent from above
You weren’t intimidated by my looks
And though I tried
I could never read you like a book

You saw past my rage and hate
I pray that you were not too late
To my soul from eternal night
For you only do I fight

Your fiery eyes
Your blazing heart
Have forever left their mark
Upon my broken soul

You never gave in
Never gave up
Until the day disaster struck
The image painted in my head
Rising over and over
Again and again

Never will I forget
The pain
Remorse
And strong regret

I tried my best not to cry
As I sat and watched you die
But as your fiery eyes died out
I simply could help myself
I cried for you and called your name
So you would know it’s not a game

But never did you hear my grievous cry
As your last breath left
And so you died

Still I sat and held your hand
Remembering our love so grand
Remembering the day we met
And the solemn oath we pledged
To walk the line between both sides
Until the end of time

Suddenly I felt them rise once more
My uncontrollable thirst for gore
But something else was there as well
Something worse than even hell
The nothing of an empty cell
The part of us
Entwined in one
Had gone with you
To the setting sun

So tears came
With no one to blame
I simply let them be
As I remembered your smell
Your touch
Your stunning face
And mourned that you were gone
Never again could I hold you close
To tell you what I needed
And hear your sweet reply

So forever I’ll wait to hear from you
The words to turn away from blue
The ones I long to hear from you
Please utter once more
So dear so true
Just once more
I love you
