His real name is Stem Cell Wizard, he's kind of the miraculous force that makes biology happen, his specialty is that chance in how genes are arranged and expressed. He does have some supernatural powers, namely eternal youth, but if he gets hurt (which is a lot) he doesn't heal right away. He's kind of a nerd, and he's very emotionally unaware. He speaks simply, to the point, blunt and a little rude in his honesty sometimes. He takes his job very seriously. He makes chromosome butterflies, they help with luck and are sort of minions. He can see what they see, so if he has to leave Stella for long periods of time, he usually gives Stella one to keep an eye out. He basically fights crime (there's an enemy, I haven't a clue what that enemy is like yet) with a baseball bat that he put nails into. His nail-bat is absolutely terrifying, but he doesn't take any pleasure in using it. It's his job, and his makeshift morgenstern fits the bill. He lost his right eye in the line of duty, so he always wears an eyepatch. He takes orders from Melchior, not out of choice but it's implied they have some sort of contract. He's almost always in a dress shirt, tie, and slacks. He's a horrible cook, it's a good thing he lives with Stella. Stemmy is sort of like Biology itself.

Stella is actually a very sick boy fighting a very bad illness in the hospital. Right now, the outlook isn't good. All of the events that transpire are his dreams/delusions/ideas while he's being pumped full of medicine and put into an artificial coma. He crossdresses as a girl probably because he has some undisclosed emotional issues and it's a coping mechanism. He's got a potty-mouth (he doesn't usually straight-out swear, but he does insult a lot of people most of the time). He's a very happy person, he's just a bit mean in his humor. It's a bit hard to explain it properly, but he gets annoyed easily and offers a lot of empty threats. Best way to give an example is Lumpy Space Princess from Adventure Time. Kinda like that. Kinda. He doesn't have any interesting powers, so for the more dangerous assignments Stemmy makes him stay at home. He uses a tanto with lots of charms stuck to the end when he remembers to bring it, but in a bind he's been known to use whatever weapon is at hand (most notable examples being a nail gun and a Gibson flying V guitar) Unlike Stemmy, he does wear normal clothes aside from his usual outfit, though he does always have wristwarmers. He insisted that he and Stemmy have matching ties. He's very thin, probably because he's sick. He's a smart cookie though, even if he tends to get himself into trouble. He does have a crush on Stemmy. Stella is also a horrible cook, but at least with Stemmy, it's easier to pull together a mediocre meal with some help. Their apartment is nicer than average, all white walls, very modern. They only have it because Melchior helped with the lease. If Stemmy is Biology, Stella is Chemistry.
Melchior

Melchior is kind of the leader of this whole operation. He has some shady motives, but is cleaning up the streets more or less so no one really pays much notice. He does have magical powers, most notably teleportation by opening rifts in reality and he has some energy manipulation, so if he were attacked he can absorb the energy and then reflect it back or something. If Stemmy is Biology and Stella's Chemistry, he's Physics (especially Quantum Mechanics). He smokes a large cigar. He likes to tease Stemmy a lot, Stemmy usually doesn't get it. He and Stemmy have been working together for a while, so he wishes Stemmy would go and find a real purpose other than just doing the jobs he gives him. He hopes Stella would help him with that. Stella has a tendency to insult Melchior (most notably call him a "creepster" and a "sketchball" wink and they fight like siblings a lot. In the end, he's kind of a b*****d and his main motivation is his own ends. He throws Stemmy under the bus sometimes (most times), but he does it for his own amusement and to challenge Stemmy so he can get better. He contracts a host of shady characters other than Stemmy. He likes to have a good time and is pretty laid back though, he enjoys socializing. He's always thinking three steps ahead, hence why he's so laidback. He can afford to be when he's already accounted for just about every variable.He probably runs some important company or is the king of some country, or is in charge of a huge law firm, but no one really knows for sure if he does anything else aside from being a creepster.

Cromwell

Cromwell is representative of Math, especially imaginary numbers. Cromwell is the only one of the character who is legitimately a sociopath. He's very disconnected from most people, and he is totally unable to empathize. Personality wise, he is outwardly malicious. He likes messing with people and tends to be violent in his little "mind games". He doesn't have a weapon of choice, assuming you discount his fists. Sometimes he does have a gun in his pants, though that's more for show. He usually doesn't like them, they're too messy. Though ripping off someone's arm is perfectly fine. He does have super powers, he's very good with probability. Too good. Better than Melchior, and that's why Melchior gets annoyed with him. If Milk sees 4 steps ahead, Crumbs is 6. He also has more practical uses of that though; he can set some nasty chain reactions in motion. With a well-placed flip of a coin, he can have some beheaded in a creative way as one small event leads to another. Usually, he has neither the patience for that nor the respect for the other person to not just literally rip their heart out. He does have some super strength. He and Milk have a weird dynamic, they're friends sort of but they do try to kill each other a little too often for them to be officially categorized as friends. Crumbs thinks Stella's adorable, and he goes out of his way to upset him. He's more mellow with Stemmy, though he has kicked the kid's a** a good number of times. He's a smartass, but he's playful about it, slightly neurotic. This is the best thing to base his personality on if you need a good example. His sense of humor is horrible. Horrible in the sense that the subject matter is not socially acceptable, like shooting polar bears or people being crushed in burning buildings. He can either be one of the other guys Milk contracts, or he can be the main villain or anything else, I'm not sure yet. He almost always wears prayer beads around his right hand/wrist. It's a miracle they haven't broken yet.
