Warning: The following text may cause fits of rage, convulsions, loud yelling, pissing, carrying on, bitching, moaning, groaning, death threats, random acts of violence, sexual acts, -and if we're lucky- the entire destruction of the human race. Also, don't spam, harrass, or anything else to that nature anybody whose name I don't remove from a quote.
Oh Bible, full of Porn, the Lord is with thee.

Yeah, I bet the people in the bible are tying eachother up in leather and stuffing do-rags in eachothers mouths, before pouring hot wax on eachothers bear skin and having a certain type of sex that I'm not permitted to say on gaia.

Really, if you want people to give you CHARACTER advice, tell us. Don't just say, "Oh yeah, I'm writing smut! Got any tips?"

What do you expect? Of course we aren't going to assume you want character and plot development! You don't need tell us you are writing smut at all if you really just want plot and character help.

Also, you can write your own characters. You've written books before, I understand? Even published one of them?

The merging between smut and other types of stories? I have no idea how you'll do that. It's really lame to stick a hot sex scene in the middle of a chapter for no reason other than it pleases you. You're going to have to have a good reason for putting the sex in there, or else it won't be appropriate at all. Especially since you're avoiding romance entirely.

1. This actually has a lot to do with the character or plot. Characters and plot have to change according to ratings and things that are already planned to be in the story. A G story has differnt characters and plots than a PG, PG-13, R, X, etc.
2. People in the bible did tie each other up. Some met their ends in such acts.
3. You're contradicting yourself. Of course I'm not going to stick smut in where it feels slepped in. That's the point of this thread. How do I maintain fluidity?

Yes, because when I think erotic fiction, I think the Bible; it may be fiction, but it is far from erotic.

I don't read it thinking. OOOOOHHH! IMMACULATE CONCEPTION! IMMACULATE CONCEPTION! OOOHH YEAH!

I know porn when I see it, and I don't see it in the Bible.

You haven't read about the poor concubine? Ruth and Naomi? Leviticus? Abraham? Noah's sons? Lot?

Oh yes, because, "So we may know them" is so erotic. Oh, know them. Know them. OOOOOOOHHHHHHH! KNOW THEM ALL NIGHT LONG! YEAH! I'M KNOWING THEM! I'M KNOOOOOOWWWWIIINNGG THEMMMMMM!

It just keeps going...

That was porn in the bible. Words change. Get over it.

Words change, but reaming somewhat up the a**, is still reaming somebody up the a**, and the Bible is not describing a male reproductive organ entering the a**l opening of a male and proceding up the colon in great detail. An innuendo, is an innuendo, and will always remain an innuendo. I have a hard time believing that the Aramaic translation of "know them" actually ever meant, "stick our dicks up their asses."
