Stargazer
12. Sakura and Vanessa’s Fight Part 1
Naruto yawned. A week had passed since the Christmas party. (It’s January 2) Still, no one knew what happened that night. Kakashi had just been released from the mental hospital a day ago. He had been mumbling something about Lee drinking all the sake. Anyhow, in the warm sunlight, Naruto stared out of his window. There was nothing much to do since Kakashi was still in critical condition. It was a quiet day. A loud knocking on his door brought him back to reality.

Sakura: NARUTO! OPEN THE DOOR!
Naruto: Huh? What is it Sakura?
Sakura: It’s Sasuke-kun! He’s gone!

Naruto opened the door all the way.

Naruto: Isn’t he always gone?
Sakura: Yeah, but he’s been gone since we came back! I’m worried about him!
Naruto: Why don’t you complain to someone else?
Sakura: stressed THERE’S NO ONE ELSE AROUND HERE YOU IDIOT!!!!
Naruto: Eh? Really? Is everyone really doing missions?
Sakura: Duh! Where have you been for the past week!?!
Naruto: Eating ramen.
Sakura: Uuuuuuuuuugh! Naruto, do you even know how much sodium you’re consuming in every bowl of ramen that you eat!?! You should be eating fruits and raw vegetables!
Naruto: Hmmm…I seem to remember having this talk about food before…
Sakura: Naruto you idiot! I’ll see you later!

Sakura stormed off. Naruto closed his door.

Naruto: Wow. She didn’t hit me this time. She must really be worried about Sasuke. Oh well, time to go eat ramen.

Sasuke was running along an off-road path.

Sasuke: Damn. Where could she have gotten to? I’ve been searching for weeks! Maybe she really does hate my guts. No, wait, hate is too strong of a word. Maybe she dislikes me. I mean, seriously, no one ever hates me.

Sakura walked aimlessly. She stared down at the ground – at her feet.

Sakura: Maybe Sasuke-kun just needs some time alone. Not that he does already have a lot of time alone.A week is a long time. *gasp* Did he go to Orochimaru’s already?

A couple hundred miles away…

Vanessa: Crap. I forgot my painting. All the way back in Konoha.

Vanessa began walking back to Konoha.

Sasuke: I guess I can turn back to Konoha now. No, not yet.

A week later (January 9), Sasuke decided to finally walk back to Konoha. Vanessa was almost at Konoha. Sasuke waited at the gate. He stared down the road.

Sasuke: Hm? What’s that?

A person figure was walking towards the gate. He hid behind a building and waited. Vanessa reached the main gate and sighed.

Sasuke: Aha! Found her! *jumps out* I gottcha now!
Vanessa: Great, you again. Hey, I’m going to grab something and leave. So, BYE!

Vanessa ran as fast as she could to her tree house. Sasuke ran after her.

Vanessa: Damn, why do I have to be such a slow runner!?!
Sasuke: Geez, she’s a slow runner. But then again, most girls are slow.
Sakura: Where are you Sasuke-kun?
Sasuke: I got you now!
Sakura: SASUKE-KUN! biggrin
Vanessa: Ugh, get off of me!

Sasuke had leaped on top of Vanessa’s back and had pinned her down to the ground. Coincidentally, Sakura had happened to be walking their way.

Sakura: SASUKE-KUN!!! YOU’RE ALIVE!!! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN FOR THE PAST THREE WEEKS!?!
Sasuke: I was doing research?
Sakura: Really? You got me so worried! Why didn’t you tell me so? I would have had came with you! What did you find out?

Sasuke had gotten off of Vanessa’s back.

Sasuke: Even if you had asked, I would have said no anyways.
Sakura: Oh…SO YOU ASKED HER INSTEAD?!!?
Sasuke: N-no, I just bumped into her right now.
Sakura: Hey! You! Where are you going?!?

Vanessa stopped in her tracks. She had been trying to sneak away while Sasuke and Sakura were talking.

Vanessa: Someplace other than here. You know, I’m giving you two some privacy.
Sakura: Oh, okay. HEY! WAIT! YOU’RE NOT GETTING AWAY THAT EASALLY!!! I WANT TO CHALLENGE YOU TO A FIGHT!!!
