They struck me down. I still do not believe it. They, those mere humans, destroyed the spirits I had manipulated, and threw me upon the stairs of my own home. Could I be so weak, as to suffer so greatly from such inferior mortals? It is injust and I do not understand. What kami on this plane could possibly take favor on such a pathetic race?
I do not take kindly to humans.

Now that I have addressed my dislike for this species, I must say, I do not take kindly to very many species other than my own, now that I think on it. For dragons, it goes without saying that I despise the race and will forever more. At least now I can control my rage against their very living bodies. I suppose I do not enjoy the presence of other species, because I do not trust them.
Some have told me I am not very generous with trust.

Perhaps this is true. I do not trust very many. They have to earn it in my eyes, and few have done such. It does not seem too hard to me, but they always find ways of losing my trusting eye. But it is their loss.

Anyway, this powerful strike back was not anticipated. I was weak, and now we must perform the transformation. It is too early, in my opinion. Far to early to use this. We have not yet even perfected the joining, and if there is a mistake, we could become trapped inside the newly formed body. It is unwise to rush a powerful magick such as this. But alas, at least Valeth should not be nearby to witness it for himself.

Though there are now many arriving. Too many, I think. They shall all witness the first of our new discoveries, and I fear that we will surely lose the advantage of surprise. Ah well. I suppose it is fate. Perhaps we were not meant to keep our powerful tie a secret for long. I only hope that we do not... lose control.

Now where is that mage?...
