She almost had us. It was almost too late. The two kiko foxes of the Nogitsune were almost perished for good. But luckily, 'almost' is just enough.
If Lia and I had not managed to combine our powers so to create that vaccum rift behind the puppet, she no doubt would have led us straight to our destruction without a second thought. I have now judged it to be far too dangerous to let her free like that. Of course, we never intended to jump so ahead of schedule. But if we hadn't, we might have never been able to.
Nasty humans. They're right up there with dragons and myobu in my mind. If that damned kami hadn't given them so much blessing, we could have shredded their numbers in minutes. I do wonder if the others decided to retreat... There was that faint message from the Void...
I do hope that they all made it out alright.
How awful I feel for bailing on my family.
But now that we've contained the demon, and are free ourselves once more, we shall train together again. I personally do not intend on returning to the Shrine grounds for some time. That is.. not unless.. my target draws me near to that land. Speaking of which.. I wonder what's become of him. I do wonder this often. Perhaps too often. It's not like I worry. ... He's quite capable of fending for himself..even in a weakened state, I'm sure. Though... I can't help but wish I could find some proof of his existance.
