Vanessa slowed to a halt and folded her wings. She was in a vast desert – in The Village Hidden in the Sand. She stopped right in front of the main entrance.
Vanessa: I hope this was a good idea, otherwise, I would have had wasted those past few weeks traveling for nothing.
Vanessa entered, quietly and unseen. She came up to a house and took a deep breath.
Temari and Kankuro: Happy Birthday Gaara!!!
Temari: Look! I got you what you always wanted…SAND!!!
Kankuro: Hey, no way! I got him sand too!!!
Temari: I got it first!
Kankuro: No, I did!
Gaara: It’s okay. I don’t mind getting sand for every holiday and birthday.
Gaara took the sand and put it in his overflowing gourd. There was a knock on the door. Gaara went to get it.
Temari: I’ll get it, birthday boy!
Temari opened the door.
Temari: AHHHHH!!!!
Kankuro: Huh? What is it Temari?
Kankuro went to see who was at the door.
Kankuro: NOOOOO!!!!
Gaara cautiously walks to the door.
Vanessa: Hi Gaara. I made you a cake for your birthday, but it got smashed on the way here. So I got you sand instead.
Gaara: S-since when did it start raining?
Gaara slammed the door.
Temari and Kankuro: W-who was she?
Gaara: Rain rain go away, come again some other day…..
Vanessa: That went well…I think?
Meanwhile, in Konaha… Sakura is currently in the hospital. A few of her rib cages have been broken and her lungs have been crushed. Naruto is standing out in front of the hospital.
Naruto: *sigh* First Kakashi-sensei, now you? When the heck are we ever going on a mission!?
Naruto continues walking to town. He spots Kiba and Shino.
Naruto: HEY KIBA! SHINO!
Kiba: AAACCKKK!!!! SICK ‘EM AKAMARU!!!
Akamaru: BARK BARK!!!
Shino: .........
Naruto: AHHHHH!!!! KIBA!!! AKAMARU!!! STOP IT!!!! *runs around in circles with Akamaru at his trail*
Kiba: Oh, it just you. Here Akamaru!
Akamaru: Ruff ruff!
Naruto: -_- What was that for? *walks away*
Vanessa stands overlooking the Hidden Sand Village.
Vanessa: All that time just getting here…actually paid off…
