Chapter 1
A giant drill begins to pierce the bottom of the Edal Lake looking for natural resources like oil. Inside the giant machine a man stares out through a lunette window build to endure extreme heat and freezing temperatures. All of a sudden a explosion is heard as the drill breaks through to an area of oil. The workers on board activate the tubes which bring the oil in. They fill barrels with it using tubes. They do it like that because touching stuff can be dangerous and it is easier. The drill had to go under so they sealed it up and activated the oxygen tanks realeasing air to breath. They completely went into it and hoped the air tight adjustmant was working. They were under for a good minute when a small of oil came flowing through the drill shell to the inside where the workers are. The closest person is the fifteen year old Vincent. It swirls around him and then begins to climb up his leg. He yells in fright and pain. It continues to cover him until it reaches his head. The feeling is very good and powerful. Vincent feels a foreign mind within his own becking to him to be let in. He lets it in and blacks out after becoming one with the organism Lust.
Inside the labs of Gata INC. scientist are trying to solve the mystery of the mind/body controlling organisms now known as the Nexus because of how they blend with the people they bond with. Inside the secret labs are ten kids trapped in giant glass incubators to promote the experiments for Darkside. Darkside is what is used to describe when a Nexus joins into a human’s body and mind. The Nexus believe in violence and anger, which they feed off of in humans. Once a Nexus bonds with it will never come off. A Nexus can bond with anything that is living but can only survive by bonding with humans and animals. Normally a Nexus will bring out the evil in a person after bonding is complete. Bonding will only take about a minute but the permanent bonding takes weeks up to months. The Nexus can be a variety of colors and impress only so much of themselves to a human. Once bonded the human can find they have extraordinary powers and a lot of strength.. Their form usually changes depending on the Nexus. Usually Nexus will wrap itself all around the human creating body armor. In the lab the scientists are preparing to release the Nexus on the teens. “So are the Nexus going to attach themselves and take over” A young woman asks the head scientist. “Most likely but first they have to wake them up”. So inside the glass containers they release a gas to wake them up. When the kids wake up they look all around and find that they only know a few of each other. One kid starts yelling and starts punching the glass. He is really muscular and one of the cool kids. All the kids get angry and start pounding on the glass yelling. They all ask why they were taken to there. The head scientist explains the experiment. “We have taken a species of organisms called the Nexus. They bond and take over a human when they come in touch and we want to know their true nature.“So you just use them on us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”. “Yes you are just children and good guinea pigs” he says while laughing. He then tells the other scientist to bring in
Damien the tenth teen. They bring him in and all the teenagers gasp because they were all good friends with him. “No don’t do anything to him” a girl yells. “Oh do you love him” someone says. “Shut the hell up” She replies. Then they put Damien in the first glass container. They lock it up and start the experiment. “Release the Nexus” the head man says. Damien yells at him “I am going to kill you!!!” But then he goes silent as a bunch of dark blue goo drops on him. It starts to cling to him and then it begins to climb up from his leg all the way to his head when it reaches his head he yells in pain. Then he stops and his body changes. He now has a completely blue body with claws, fangs, and an urge to kill. “WE ARE HAVOC” he yells with a weird darkness in his voice. Then he punches the glass and it shatters everywhere.
