Long ears really ******** my sense of proportions up. Make the face first, draw the body, and then the ears. ((Learned from Silver Hellsing's Image))
Use three shades. Use the medium shade as background. The darker shade gets darker away from light. Lightest shade towards light. No brainers for the last two, but meh.
