The Andre-Bodzal Fleet consists of three subdivisions: the SMS/UN Spacy, Zentradi,and Earth System branches. The SMS/UN Spacy branch contains most of the carrier ships and their escorts. This includes the SDF-2 Osiris, formerly Megaroad-01. The SDF-2, is the home base of operations and holds up 80,000 civilian colonists. It is considered the most valuble ship in the entire fleet because of its civilian components. On a whole it contains 45 ships. The Zentradi branch is the largest of the three sub-branches and is also the least present. Normally the Zentradi portion of the Fleet has a maxium of five ships at any given time with the others but normally only two. The rest of the fleet is spread out across the outter solar system and beyond, with their command ship the Nupetiet-Vergnitzs class often lingering around Saturn. However, the entire fleet once given signal can fold back to rejoin the rest of the Fleet in a relativly short order of time. They have 104 registered ships and at least 32 that were coraled in from other Zentradi fleets. The Earth System Fleet is made up of predominatly disenchanted members of the various governments of the Earth Sytem. It contains ships from both the Alliance and Mira Zeon.
It has a high number of 0083 Salamis Kai crusiers but mostly is made up a smaller classes. For instance most of their larger ships are either the only one of their type or one of a handful. This fleet contains 86 ships plus the Logistics and Resupply corps. They also contain the fleet's designated hospital ships. Of the three branches the Earth System is considered the weakest but it is the most present in the Earth Sphere.
Often alone or in groups of two or three ships the Earth System taskforce will send ships into the Earthsphere either on patrols or for specific missions such as stealth recon, or special operations.
The total number of ships makes it the second largest fleet in the solar system. The Alliance has at least double it's numbers and Mira Zeon is roughly 34 ships fewer in its fleet. However, the Andre-Bodzal Fleet unlike the other two is not specifically for combat and often its purpose is to guard the SDF-2 or the colonies on Mars. The Andre-Bodzal Fleet has fairly good relations with Mira Zeon, and the Jupiter Energy Fleet.
They have fair relations with ZAFT and the PLANTs but often the two sides don't interact. It has poor relations with the Alliance because of it's open acceptance of the PLANTs and Zeon movements and because of its willingness to take in defectors. They sometimes use the Blackjacks, and several other rogue or special interest groups. It has very strong ties to the Mars Zeon movement and two of their ships carry member's of Mars Zeon's Oldsmobile Army with them.
The dealings with the CONSENT colonies are often a point of contention amongst the Alliance and the A-B Fleet. Since the Alliance views them as a puppet government they control when the CONSENT has affilations with the Earth System branch especially, the Alliance often makes threats of politcal sanctions against them.
Another point of concern are rogue Zentradi and Meltrandi that periodically enter the region.
