Part One
In a Barton, with the moon high above there was an ear splitting scream. Three men, two humans and a dark elf huddled around a man on the ground. The elf was holding something that looked like a spear into the man pinning him into the dirt. With his boot the elf pushed the man down and broke the spear tip end off. He had forced it through his victim backwards. The man on the ground thrashed and squirmed wildly. He hissed and tried to get free. The closest human was a man with long blond hair holding a sniper rifle. There was no real intent written on his face, rather passing indifference. The second human was bigger, and older he stood by the rear. The elf crouched down close to the man's face. "Comfy?" he asked before standing back up. He walked in sort of a circle in front of this man. "Now perhaps you've heard of us, perhaps you haven't. But that doesn't matter. Because either way, you're not going to get out of this." The man on the ground struggled more, not out of fear, but anger. The elf looked down at him. The man bared his teeth, glistening in the moon's soft light were two large canines. This man, was a vampire.
The elf had un-slung a shotgun and held it in his right hand pacing back and forth slowly. "In case you don't know, we're hunting down vampires. Not arbitrarily, but those who we know have...connections." He glanced at the vampire. "What does that mean to you? Well, a lot actually. See you know things, you deal with people who know things and that makes you of great interest to me. Because I want to know things." The vampire started to chuckle a bit "And what makes you think I'll say anything to you?" The elf responded by kicking his booting into the vampire's face. The other two watched silently. They'd done this before, in fact many times since. The elf had an unusual "eye patch" over his left eye. The eye was still there, but the thing over it was a Nano-C wireless visual feedback camera. It allowed him to see better at night. The main lens focused in and out while he talked. "Because I think you want see tomorrow night." the elf said calmly.
"I'm not telling you anything!" The vampire spit on the ground as a sign of contempt. "What do you think you three can accomplish, huh? I know what you want, and you can take your question an' choke on it! Pigs!" The elf shook his head slowly. "That's a shame." The vampire laughed. "Is it now? I'm not gonna tell you Zhivago is because I don't know. Even if I did..." The elf pumped the shotgun. "Ha-ha. That little pea shooter may work on me, but you really think that'll kill him? He has powers you fool...powers beyond anything a worthless elf or human could have." The vampire started laughing which occasionally choked up because of the blood filling it's mouth. The elf looked un-phased. "Well I wasn't planning on using this." The vampire tried to push himself up a bit. "I'm curious, were you going to barter the information for my life?" The elf patted a large satchel slung on his side. "Nope, I was thinking your sister." The vampire's smile vanished. "Not that it really matters if you tell me anything or not. I was going to kill you, so you'd never know I already killed her." He reached into the pouch and tossed the head of a female vampire in front of the one on the floor. It stared at it a second and let out a deep painful wail and then tried with all his might to get in physical range to kill the elf but he couldn't. The elf sighed and lifted the shotgun's barrel to the eye level of the vampire and it let out a loud screech which was silenced with a loud bang. The vampire slid down the spear shaft to the ground the left half of his face was gone and the contents of his head slowly oozed onto the grass with tons of blood.
The blond haired man who was holding his rifle in his arms against his body like a bear hug. He cleared his throat slightly. "So um, elf man. Do you think he knew anything?" The elf looked up at him, "It doesn't matter." The elf began walking the other direction.
