Rass's Poetry, lyk wow =0
Uhm, well it's poetry, or my babbling. Depending on how I feel that day. It'll either be, babbling, random s**t, something I saw funny, my poetry, my ranting or pictures/avy art I've gotten. :3nod: Enjoy, lyk now.
This poem isn't finished yet, it needs refining
I have too much of a headache to go on and on about this poem and how much it sucks, but apparently it's not that bad. Of course, everyone that has read it knows who it's inspired off of, so for all I know it might be bad and only people who know the person think it's good because of knowing the person. ::shrug:: Either way here you go. It was inspired off Mizu-chan from MPL because she's cool like that or something. heart

15 awesome points to anyone who knows what the last stanza is referring to. surprised

For Mizu
Think Blue
Not red
Not yellow
Not orange
Think Blue

Blue
That amazing color that sits
at the top of the color wheel
Half the winning formula
for green and purple

Green
The color of life
Purple
The color of royalty
And they'd be nothing without Blue

The world looks so different
through Blue tinted glasses
So different
So interesting
So beautiful

The Blues
Lifes sorrow rolled up with some jazz
Blue Grass
Lifes joys played by backhome yokels

Blue
The color of the infinite sky
Blue
The color of the worlds oceans
Blue
A baby's eyes...

All that is true in life
is Blue
And all that is true in Blue
is life

So when all of heaven's in a rage
Because of a silly redbreast in a cage
Just remember to
Think Blue

EDIT:: I felt like responding up here to part of a comment made. 3nodding The comment was

Quote:
I never really got mizu-chan's Think Blue motto.. I'm more of an optimist, really.

The poem isn't pessimistic. It's actually pretty optimistic, as is mizu's "Think Blue" motto and my sisters answer to everything being blue, and her frequent random comment of "everything is blue". Blue is often seen as the melancholy color, sad and alone. But the poem is outlining how blue is in everything, and how there is nothing worth while without blue. I guess, if we want to get all symbolic, it can be seen as saying that without things that make you sad you can never truly be happy, that sadness is what life is, but with that sadness is the joy.

PS: Remember kids, there's more poems here, read them too plzkthxbai heart

Is the last stanza in reference to William Blake's Auguries of Innocence?

I enjoyed it.
I attempt to write poetry, though I don't really succeed.

So instead I love Poe. (Displacement! I can't write too well, so I read Poe, and relate to that instead. biggrin )

I want a Poe Bobble head.

I am rambling.

Keep up the good work. razz

That poem is pretty cool...I wish I could write for more than crap. I'm ok at poetry, but everything else I suck at. About the last stanza...I have no freakin idea.

The whole thing altogether reminds me of that Eiffel 65 song, "Blue" (I'm blue, da-ba-dee da-ba-da.. etc.)
Last stanza reminds me of the song "Bullet with butterfly wings" by the Smahing Pumpkins =D

As you can see I listen more to music than I read poetry.. although I never really got mizu-chan's Think Blue motto.. I'm more of an optimist, really.

Okay poem, not awesome, but clearly worth reading =)

i'm pretty sure i'm wrong on this but in the last stanza, couldn't it go it's a robin in a cage whishing for the BLUE of the sky? freedom? and couldn't the robin represent anyone of us if we're dreaming of any type of freedom? .....ok,well just my odd thoughs there.... rolleyes

I liked your poem a lot. I can't do poems about colors, I can only do depressing poems. *laughs* Anyways, keep up the good work. All of your poems I've read so far I've liked a lot.
