I don't get sick like the rest of you people.
I'm not saying I NEVER get sick...it's just rare. If I get a cold, I'm over it in a day or two. While you're chugging orange juice and popping pills, I'm just occasionally blowing my nose/getting weird fever dreams. People envy me for it, and I have to say, I think it's great. cool
However, great power comes with great responsibility (-some old guy from Spider-Man), and I fail to live up to expectations occasionally. For instance, I have a growing suspicion that despite the fact that I don't show symptoms, I still carry diseases and make people sick. I might very well be a vector-a creature that transmits pathogens from one host to another. It sort of makes me feel guilty.
Maybe this suspicion is what causes me to occasionally unleash my mothering instincts onto poor, helpless, disease-ravaged individuals. I don't normally think about my "dark side," but my leopard gecko female got a nasty bite from her brother and I was suddenly panicking and setting up a separate cage for her to recuperate in. Then it hit me-where did that compulsion come from? It was spooky. I was doting on her for a few more days, but once the wound began to scab, *poof* the instinct was/is gone!
Sorry about the weird entry, by the way. The journal is called "random musings" after all.
Have a great day/night/dawn/dusk/whatever! mrgreen mrgreen mrgreen
