As I mentioned in an earlier journal entry that guilds in general are mostly a futile feature. Now something new to add to the continuing view of uselessness of such things.
This is a re-post of something I placed in a now dead foot guild. Note that this is the 3rd time now that a foot guild (in general) has died by the way. It usually starts off strong but eventually interest fizzles out like all guilds usually do.
And now for my post: A guild can only be as successful as the theme behind it. As much as we don't want to admit this, there's very little chance of getting general people on Gaia to open up an interest (or an admiration) for feet that aren't already known for liking them. A majority of foot lovers are a shy bunch as-is anyway and the only reason we can open up so much here is the anonymity of being behind a computer screen.
Even if a guild were to recruit 1000's of new users, there's only so much unique things that can be said about feet until it becomes a place where the only time any signs of life are shown is when someone new comes along and posts a pic or 2 which generates a reaction of "Omg look! Feet pics! Yay!
So anywho, I wish you lots of luck on trying to revive the other guild. As for me, sorry to say as I've learned not only here but in other guilds everywhere; Guilds as a whole are virtually pointless (with VERY few exceptions) and it might be time to just stick to the main forums and take our chances in the wild like I have for the past few years.
