Would you still walk away?
It's been a long time.
I'm not writing here for anyone but me. I can get these thoughts and feelings out without anyone in real life knowing about them. Sooooo here we go.
I really like you, and I can't tell you.
I don't know how you feel about me, really. Part of me thinks you put up with me, because we work together.
Then you'll look me right in the eye and tell me about something you read with such passion, and keep your eyes on mine, and sometimes its almost like a challenge. I want to keep looking but I'm worried I won't be able to look away.
One time when you tried to leave you started telling me about something you read in a book, and you kept going and going and told me "I should get going now, you don't need to listen to me ramble" and honestly all I wanted to do was listen to you.
I could listen to you talk about your passions and what excites you all day, because... you make me feel something I don't think I've felt in a long time. I want you to hold me and tell me about some wild political story or some weird little thing that you find fascinating because if it grasped your attention, I would listen to you talk about it for hours, just for a moment of that attention from you.
Sometimes I look at your hands and imagine holding them. And we wear masks all the time but I wish I could take yours off, move in close and let my breath become your breath and your breath become mine.
To feel your personal space, to feel my personal space; become our personal space.
